yes madam Kemi is not experienced, yes she didn't impress me at the senate screening( although the senators barely asked any sensibly important thing) yes I an not impressed with what she did in Ogun as u didn't even know she was a commissioner in a state I live in until when she was nominated. but I will pray us to allow her to work first so we will know what she can do. shouting about and saying she is not meant for the post won't change anything . lets just wait and watch for sometime.
as for me am trying to be optimistic with her. I believe under someone like Buhari, she would perform

“Adeosun’s appointment to head the most important ministry during a time of economic crisis will stir some controversy. She is relatively inexperienced, especially compared to her immediate predecessor Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, a political heavyweight,” says Malte Liewerscheidt, senior Africa analyst at Verisk Maplecroft. “Adeosun has a strong background in the UK’s private financial sector but may struggle to navigate federal politics as the only post she previously held in Nigeria was Commissioner of Finance in Ogun State.” - FORBES.

I rest my case. Some nitwits here thought I was being tribal. Enlightened and objective thinkers saw what I saw.
but all you have written here doesn't mean she us going to fail...its barely 24 hours since she was given the job and everybody seems to be criticizing already... which way Nigerian youths.

And what about ogbe, is he incompetent? Why not let's give these people a chance to see their output. Who ever thought adesina would perform like he did? Mugabe despite his old age is the most vocal president in Africa. Age don't do these things, it's your capability, readiness and passion that matters. Did u follow him right from the senate floor? I doubt u did.
Audu Ogbe is a career politician. That he manages a private farm does not make him the most qualified person to drive our agric sector which is one of the key areas that can help us diversify our economy.

In case you didn't know Adesina was Vice President of Policy and Partnerships for the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA) before he was made agric minister. So he was perfectly suited for the job.
If you are surprised that he performed well, then you knew nothing about him.

I won't say anything about Mugabe other than he has an uncanny resemblance to your master Buhari.

When Buhari went for the G-7 summit as well as the visit to US, every Yoruba bigot was praising the western media for the cordial invitation and reception.

When the western media was lambasting GEJ approach to security matters, the Yoruba bigots had orgasms.

Now that they are criticizing Buhari and his team constructively, they have suddenly become 'enemies'. APC awusa Yoruba Fulani bigots amazes me no doubt.

Forbes, ride on jare....!

Gbawe:
I agree with you. The main thing Ministers need is the ability to provide solutions innovatively allied with the bravery and uncompromising resolve to implement these solutions. The character, integrity, political will and 'body language' of the President of the day matters immensely also. GEJ was an innately weak, unprincipled, compromised and dishonest man who gave every Minister the impression they too could/should be crooked and indolent. Those who were not thieves by character and had the initial will to serve Nigeria quickly began taking part in the free-for-all looting because everyone was doing it and Mr.President, his wife and affiliates were also helping themselves copiously.

Under that system even like NOI became a lying mouthpiece given to deceiving the world with crap like "Nigeria is now Africa's biggest economy after GDP rebasing" along with hogwash about "economic robustness" and "good economic health" when some of us argued that she was lying given simple indices like dwindling allocation to States and borrowing $1 billion to fight boko haram when Nigeria had disbursed over $12 billion for the same purpose in the past without needing to borrow.

All in all, a talented novice can perform wonders under a president like Buhari whereas under GEJ the most brilliant "heavyweight" , with the biggest reputation, could become an unconscionable crook, like Allison_madueke, who will loot Nigeria mercilessly to impoverish many and destroy the future of millions.
You are way wrong .
The fact that à President is incorruptible cannot subtitute good policies especially in the financial sector.
A particular President from zambia was known for his stance against corruption but he ended up becoming the worst President in the country's history because he destroyed the economy.
God forbid, but the way bubu is going he might just end up like that.

Who is talking about her failure? We are talking about a waste of 6 months in appointing ministers by your Buhari, which has, in Forbes paraphrasing, "wasted precious time" which in turn has delayed policy making and scared investors away....

BTW, NOI is world class, even your saharareporters, punch, the nation, daily trust, and other APC propaganda machine cannot change that.

Talking about the most qualified persons would translate to such persons doing well, then u goofed! That a man is most qualified doesn't necessarily translate that such a person could turn things around to the positive. Nigeria is a really complex nation if u don't know. Are u concluding that, we've never had the most competent men in position is the reason why we're where we're today. I doubt that, corruption and selfishness brought us here not competency. If u are not competent for something, why not employ competent people to work with u, but rather, they care less other than satisfying their selfish biddings. Do u think diezani wasn't competent? With her wealth of experience, or NOI? These are very competent people, but how has their competencies changed majority of Nigerians' Lives despite they deal more with things that affect the masses. Our problem is corruption and men of old then in position weren't just ready to change anything. Nigeria is a complex country as I noted earlier on, it can only take a strict, determined and disciplined man to steer this nation or else, many would pull him down.

Last bullet : No self respecting (investment) Banker leaves the bank to become a commissioner in any state government. Can you imagine NOI, Arunma Otte, Jim Ovia, Elumelu, Tunde Ayeni or the guy at GTB, can't remember his name, accepting an appointment as a commissioner in any state.

I'm pretty sure President Buhari is looking for a face-saving way out. He goofed, otherwise it's a calculated plan to loot. Tinubu has a hand in this appointment.

I honestly think Nigerians are in for a ride (Economy wise) and i hope i am wrong when i say this woman is totally incapable

The writer of this junk is a fool. How can this fool blame buhari for the ineptitude of the past administration? Some of these so-called journalists don't deserve to be address as journalists.

And what did the so-called "experience" okonjo achieve as the finance minister under Jonathan? Aside from destroying our economy and lying to gullible Nigerians that they are the biggest economy in Africa, what has madam NOI achieve or what positive thing has she impacted on our already damaged economy?

Kemi will be 1000 times better than that madam NOI who joined forces with diezani/Jonathan to steal our $20billion....
. What was the state of nigeria economy before she started handling it from the military government. Let see what your yoruba woman will do, the yorubas keep criticizing the innocent ngozi . Now its the yoruba time let's see how economically sound they are.

Igbos are the first wailers but has succeded in their shear domineering nature to bring afenifere, odua peoples congress, US and european union, world bank, OAU, barak obama, some apc that scam disease has fell of their eyes, 2% igbos that Voted for apc, 99% almajiri's that waited for their 5k and free food, 59% yorubas that swore that they will remain hausa slave despite the illorin treats, 9% niger deltan that their minds what formated against gej, with the latest now, Forbes of all people. 5% that in control. lol.....funny peepes look I have never been a fan of Buhari as you put it but I like being objective... in your first post that I quoted, there was nothing like time wasting there so please don't try to bring that up now. but wait may I ask if you would have been critical of this time waste if Buhari had appointed someone from your region had been eventually made the minister of finance. look bro I didn't argue the fact the Noi is a top notch. experience, vast, brilliant etc I love that woman. but see policies are not useful on paper. I do recognize some of the policies she brought up. but u peeps are forgetting something. if a good paper policy is not manifesting positively in the lives if the masses, then it's as good as a failed policy. that is where madam Noi got it wrong. those policies where not showing in the life of an average Nigerian and no matter how good you may seem to be, its gonna be hard convincing that average Nigerian that you are doing what's good for him.

Whenever any truth not in favour of APC is told, their blind supporters tend to criticize it. So the same Forbes magazine that rated Dangote the richest man in Africa and everybody believed is now writing trash?

The truth will remain and can't be altered, Kemi is in experienced and can no way be compared to Ngozi Okonjo Iweala. She herself knows the truth that she is a green horn.

It's high time APC supporters stopped playing blind and wake to realities.

""Without clarity in economic policymaking, the Central Bank of Nigeria has attempted to use monetary policy tools to limit the damage to the economy, imposing limited capital controls and spending the country’s foreign currency reserves to prop up the naira.

“While losing precious time, the new government was unable not only to unveil much-needed economic and political reform… but it was also unable to present the budget for next year nor push forward urgent infrastructure programs,” Ricard Torné, FocusEconomics’ senior economist for Sub-Saharan Africa, said last month.""
