olapluto:Doesn't matter if the Biafran agitstors are members of PDP board of trustees. What matters is if the agitators reflect the general will of the SE/SS to secede from the illegal British contraption called Nigeria. |

The map being circulated is not IPOB map first of all but you're right. I've always said it should contain just Igbo in delta, SE, rivers and benue. That's it. Other group should stay in one Nigeria or whatever they want to be. I want an Igbo only country that's all I want. |

olapluto:This is not quite the case. I know from what you have said here that you live either in the West, the North or the Middle-belt. If you lived in the SS you will understand the people (SE Igbos) very well. It is a continuation of an innate inferiority complex. They supported GEJ because he was SS just because it made them feel a sense of power (by proxy). Since GEJ came from the SS, they adopted him as their own. They liked the idea or him being accepted as Nigerian president as a precursor to Nigerians accepting the idea of an Igbo man as a president because believe it or not, they already know how unattractive an Igbo man as a presidential candidate is to the generality of the Nigerian populace. So GEJ loosing the election the way he did (when they wanted him to win) just infuriated them. Believe it or not, they firmly believed that after GEJ, it would be an Igbo man in 2019. So GEJ losing the way he did impressed in their minds that there was no hope for this hoped acceptance of a president of Igbo extraction. This happened to them in both a conscious and subconscious level. There is hardly any election season in which agitations for Biafra and an Igbo presidency does not increase together. Oh yes, if GEJ had not lost they would not be protesting now. But the implication of his loss was more devastating to their political calculations than to any other group of people. That is why they are even more grieved than the south-south whose son actually lost the elections. Sadly, this is not the way to go about it. These agitations do not earn them any diplomatic capital (like most of the actions they are proud about). To be honest, it is my view that Igbos have been earnestly involved in diplomatic self-amputation over the years. I am Rivers Ijaw based in Rivers state |

Udmaster:I have written something on NL before on why in the South, Igbos might be a majority in numbers but in terms of civilisation, they are one of the minor minorities and this is shown by the actions of Igbos. This is not meant to insult. I know Igbo parents have told their kids great things about the Igbo people/nation. But it is only true (and naked) self-assessment that can make one come face to face (in reality) with the things he needs to know to improve himself and get better. To avoid sounding antagonistic, I will only ask a few questions, the answers to which you may go on you own to find out. 1) At what point in history did Igbos know the area covered by Igbo land (Igbo-speaking people) 2) At what point in history did other kingdoms of the south south map out their territory? 3) When was the ancient Igbo military constituted? 4) What war did they fight and over what? And what percentage of Igbo settlements were involved in that war (if any)? 5) What wars did other kingdoms of the south-south fight? Over what did they fight and what percentage of their territory was involved in those wars? 6) When did the current chieftaincy system (not the Ozo system) start in Igbo land? 7) Who installed these chiefs? 8 ) At what point in history did the current monarchies of the south-south Ijaw kingdoms start? 9) Who instituted the monarchies and chieftaincy systems of the Ijaw kingdoms? Investigating these questions will explain to anyone the Igbo man's present day diplomatic state, skill and capital. It all comes down to things that have been established (or absent) by history. |

coolscott:stop spreading fallacy. IGBOS have a proud history of established kingdoms and leadership. Go and read about Ancient Aro Kingdom, Nnewi, Nri(the oldest kingdom in Nigeria), Ngwa, Aguleri etc the main Igbo title to honour great men is Ozo, Nze, Obi etc. Our IGBO UKWU Civilization is the Second Oldest after the Nok. The only difference is that Igbos were republicans in nature who ruled themselves mainly by Clans, but We are Culturally The Same. That is why Indirect Rule Failed in the Eastern Nigeria. IGBO IS IGBO whether in SE,SS, Benue, Kogi, Calabar etc and Lastly, Igbos Voted For ur Ijaw Son GEJ because we believed in his administration and his policies which was not marginalizing for Igbos unlike OBJ, and we are in a democratic era. |

coolscott:Igbos Voted for GEJ the same way we voted for Yaradua and OBJ because the Igbo Nation were mainly in PDP, wth are you talking about? And who told you Igbo Man vying for Presidency is unattractive? Is that ur Ijaw fear? An IGBO PRESIDENT. Oh Now I Know.. and talking about Complex, wtf, The IGBO Nation is a Noble Tribe who are Achievers in any field they find themselves. We are proud of ourselves, thats why some mistaken it for arrogance. |

Udmaster:I didn't spread fallacy. I only asked a few questions you or any Yoruba, Tivi, Boko, Ijaw or Hausa person can go research. 1) At what point in history did Igbos know the area covered by Igbo land (Igbo-speaking people) 2) At what point in history did other kingdoms of the south south map out their territory? 3) When was the ancient Igbo military constituted? 4) What war did they fight and over what? Over what did they fight and what percentage of their territory was involved in those wars? 6) When did the current chieftaincy system (not the Ozo system) start in Igbo land? 7) Who installed these chiefs? 8 ) At what point in history did the current monarchies of the south-south Ijaw kingdoms start? 9) Who instituted the monarchies and chieftaincy systems of the Ijaw kingdoms? Surely asking questions cannot be categorised as statements of fallacy. Or can it? |

coolscott:Ijaw Man, IGBO Land is IGBO Land and It Does NOT Belong to you people.. The IGBOS are more populated than Ijaws both in Rivers and Delta State.. FACT! I know your people have a deep fear for Igbo Presidency, and we exactly know why. |

Udmaster:Ha ha! Has nothing to do with the questions I asked. Your mind doesn't seem capable of staying on a straight course of logic. Anyway, here are the questions again. For you and every other Nigerian to see 1) At what point in history did Igbos know the area covered by Igbo land (Igbo-speaking people) 2) At what point in history did other kingdoms of the south south map out their territory? 3) When was the ancient Igbo military constituted? 4) What war did they fight and over what? Stay cool. |

Udmaster:That is the irony of the Biafran agitators, you hate Nigeria because Igbos were forcefully amalgamated with tribes you have nothing in common with and you still want to forcefully amalgamate the Itsekiris into Biafra. Tell me what do the itsekiris and Igbos have in common. Biafra seems to be Nigeria minus the oil resources. Any community with oil automatically becomes Biafra By force. |

Udmaster:You are a confused Igbo man to say the lest. What make you think that Biafra of today is a replica of Biafra of yesteryears? Most Nigerians lacked the ability of push-pull thought process hence the worst country on earth with reasonable amount of resources. Have you be able to see the inmost working committee of Nnamdi Kanu and his new IPOB? Now, there is nothing opting for Republic of Igbo land which I strongly supported over Biafra but I shall not publicly criticize Nnamdi Kanu for a thing I know little about except junks from news media. Being an Igbo man does not make you a silly arbiter of what should constitute the IPOB. |

Udmaster:This is the best article I've read so far since this biafra of a thing started. I never knew there could be someone thinking in same direction wit me. I never like a biafra that will include other ethnic nationalities. I'm tired of hearing "Igbos want our oil and land." I prefer REPUBLIC OF IGBOLAND for Igbos/Igboid groups alone. The New capital shall be called OBIGBO (Heartbeat of Igbo nation)OBIGBO is an acronym of O=Opobo, B=Bonny and I=Igweocha (Port-Harcourt). The New nation will have MANY Capitals: EXECUTIVE - OBIGBO LEGISLATURE - ASABA JUDICIARY - UMUAHIA RELIGIOUS PILGRIMAGE - AGULUERI It will also have four (4) Provinces: NORTHERN PROVINCE - ENUGU WESTERN PROVINCE - ASABA EASTERN PROVINCE - UMUAHIA SOUTHERN PROVINCE - OWERRI Each of the province will have/create a commercial city. NORTH has ONITSHA, SOUTH has ABA. WEST can use AGBOR as theirs, while EAST can also use ABAKALIKI or AROCHUKWU as theirs too. Finally, the flag will change too. it will be like chinese flag, the only difference is Igboland will be Purple, which stands for Royalty and Wealthy land, with a BIG golden Star that represents OBIGBO and 4 small golden STARS encircling the big one; guarding the HEARTBEAT of the Igbo Nation. The 4 small golden stars represents the 4 provinces. The flag will just be like Chinese flag, but purple background, not Red as in Chinese. Our Bank shall be called BANK OF IGBOLAND, National TV and Radio will be IGBOLAND BROADCASTING INTERNATIONAL ( I. B. i ) All our airports shall be international and will have About two that services the Capital city.... one at Igweocha and Bonny. Opobo may have Airstrip. we will also have 2 or 3 major SEAPORTS and compliment it with DRY PORTS in hinterland. Our Airline and shipping line shall be called or Written UNITED IGBOLAND and the motto shall be ... carrying the spirit of Igbo Nation. Sincerely, my dream and prayer goes for REPUBLIC OF IGBOLAND, not Biafra. Ekenemunu Igbo but Igbo! |
