Emeagwali who was neither a “doctor” nor a “professor” was able to deceive Nigerians & line his pockets thru bogus lies at conferences & on d speechmaking circuit. Emeagwali, d intellectual scam artist has no single academic publication. He studied for a Ph.D. degree frm d University of Michigan frm 1987 through 1991. His thesis was not accepted by a committee of internal & external examiners and was thus not awarded d degree. He has no invention patents, he did not invent the connection machine & he does not hav “the Nobel Prize” of Computing as he claims. His only Accolade was d 1989 Gordon Bell Prize wit a cash prize of $1,000.
FYI, There can be no greater intellectual fraud than ur kinsman, Emeagwali.

The Clay Math institute has distanced itself from claims that the Riemann Hypothesis, a 156 year old unsolved mathematical problem has been solved by a Nigerian egghead, Dr. Opeyemi Enoch. Enoch is a professor with the Federal University, Oye Ekiti, Ekiti State.

Several publications had gone to town with the report yesterday and earlier today, stating that the scholar had won the $1 million prize offered to whomever can solve the problem.

Email checks with the Clay Math institute resulted in a response from the Office of the President of the institute.

Naomi Kraker, administrative manager in an email to The Herald said, “As a matter of policy, the Clay Mathematics Institute does not comment on solutions to the Millennium Problems. The current status of the problems and complete information about each, can be found at www.claymath.org; I’m afraid I can not add anything beyond what is available there.”

Subsequent check on the website revealed that the problem actually remains unsolved.

. If it was an Igbo man, which is highly unlikely, they would have opened countless threads to beat their chests.

They have time to send emails to organisations to confirm if a Yoruba man is smarter than them but they cannot write letters or emails to their leaders to explain why Igbo land is poor and the youths unemployed

If Igbos spend half of the time they use on Yoruba matter on their own development, Igbo land will more habitable

But sometimes u wonder if the average nigerian is that daft.Its dis same attitude that has kept us backward as a people:inability to utilize our brain to ask simple basic questions and do basic investigations.
Someone claimed to have solved a problem,yet no single reputable journal worldwide aired it, only carried by d now blog like vanguard newspaper with one of d worse journalistic crew today.
When someone even correctly said that it takes years of peer review for such claimed solutions to be tested, some turned it to a tribal contest.
Little wonder there are millions in Nigeria today who can bliv anything no matter how ridiculous.
