hey man you make me laugh what are you insinuating at that if i can't put myself in his shoes, actually am also feeling the guy agony...pls tell me does it means that since he graduated with a 2.2,he won't make it or does it mean that all that graduated with a first class are rich or are able to secure a good job for themselves?for instance when i was in 100level a brother graduated from civil engineering with a 2.1 and am in 400level now and the brother is still unable to secure a job till now.nowaday please don't let a piece of paper determine ur future for you!

We live in a world that fosters discontent, and many of you are affected by it. 2.2 dsnt mean u're a retard, as a matter of fact a 3.45 GP which is a 2.2 is above average. Everywhere you turn, what is the world saying to you? You don't look good enough, you don't have the right face, you don't have the right skin, you didint go to the right school, you didn't get the right grades, you don't drive the right car, you don't live in the right neigbhorhood, you don't have enough education and you don't have the right job - you're all a loser. It tells us this no matter how much we have materially, no matter how much comforts we have the world tells us "you need more."

This discontent that the world fosters can affect us, it can affect our happiness. That is why many persons today will never be truly happy. There are very few people in the world that will ever learn the secret of contentment, you know why? Because the secret of contentment lies in something spiritual - phillipians 4:11, 12, 13.

When u've found this secret, dnt thank me, thank Jehovah.

by God's grace, come 21st of November, I would be graduating alongside a thousand others.
I am however dissapointed or nevertheless, full of pity for a good friend of mine passing out with a 2.2 in mechanical engineering..
He is ashamed of himself and his failure to attain a better grade though he's versatile in his field of study and profficient in the use of engineering softwares to solve problems- a feat i envy him for.
Dear ever gallant nairalanders, how can i help my friend who is in a state of depression?..

I think Landlord have to realise that Undegraduate convocation is once in a life time... He has to b there @ least to take a picture so that he can show his children. Moreover graduating with 2.2 is not the end of the world? I termed it as a challange... Its not even dat dia is sure job out dia for those that graduate with 2.1 or 1st class. As for me I didn't graduate with 1stclass or 2.1 self...but I always tell ma friends that with 1st class,2.1 dat is just mata of tym we will still meet @ d Top...even soon I will go for my PGDS wen wen am tru go for ma masters... Then tell me will I not b in d same shoe with d 1st class,2.1 ppl wen I start ma masters?

I started with a GP of 4.05....and stil I made 2.2.
It doesn't discourage me a bit cos I know my potential..... Not trying to console myself but rather to spur myself on.....

Same here, and my final cgpa was 3.47.
