Sabi mamas....plsss my baby sneezes alot. Is this normal for new born?

Ensure the environment - room, living room etc etc isn't dusty.

Dress the child warmly, make sure s/he is well wrapped at all times, reduce exposure to fan and air conditioner.

Also your bedding particularly duvet or blanket may be harboring dust hence the frequent sneezing.

Good evening mamas!
Pls help a first tiime mum. My 4 weeks old baby has rashes all over his face and neck even on his eyelids. It isn't looking nice at all and am scared to use sudocream on it for fear of it getting to his mouth and eyes. Plss what can i use to clear it? cry
N/B:I use Johnson products but have discontinued it on his face but no result

Also can someone help me with a list of the immunisations to take and when to take each. I've only taken Penta and that was when my Lo was 3 days old.
....and Erm when can i resume kpekusing (had an episiotomy but the stitches have absorbed). My 1 year anniversary is in 2 weeks + and I would like to give dh a treat. wink
Sorry for the plenty questions angry

Oh wow, that sounds bad. If it is Johnson's, give it time, it will clear. I may not put Sudocrem on the eyelid and near the mouth, but it should be fine for cheeks and forehead and neck (though it is super thick sha). Try warming it in your palms before applying (take some, rub between fingers and dab on skin). What do the rashes look like though and have you shown them to your paed?
As for immunization schedule, I just followed what the hospital gave me.

For all mama's, a relative of mine is attending the World Conference on Vaccination right now, he's a consultant paediatrician and he says they are emphasising Pneumococcal vaccine, because Nigeria has one of the lowest rates for giving it (alongside India, Congo and a few others). So try and fund a health centre which will administer it please. Thanks.

Coconut oil is fantastic on baby's skin. That's what I use and no discolouration and he's not dark or darker.

PLEASE TRY AND AVOID BABY POWDERS

Please try and avoid powders of any type. They've linked them to respiratory issues in babies (they are breathing it in) and paeditricians are now asking people to avoid them. Same with keeping baby directly under the fan (anything that can go inside nostrils can lodge in the lungs and become an irritant). Because something is sold for babies, doesn't mean it's safe for babies and they keep learning new information every day (our grandparents all shook their babies for "exercise" but even the most tribal-loving doctor in Nigeria will not recommend that as they have complained about the effects on babies).

Use lighter products to moisturize baby. That's one of the reasons people prefer oils, it absorbs better than most lotions (some may leave a slight residue on skin to make it feel soft). Wear only cotton fabrics on the baby and remove their clothes if it is hot.

Heat rash is manageable compared to respiratory issues

We are waiting for picshure, as this would determine my subscription to Iya Ramota's fresh ori. grin

Seriously, I need to look up 'sebamed' products. I'm reading about it here for the first time.

@Kimoni please post. Infact I think we should start another thread, I have an idea (dunno if it will be good here or family section).

Healing ointment: Shea butter, olive oil, coconut oil, beeswax and some jara oils. Great for diaper rash, rashes on the face, ezcema, scratches etc. Can also be used for adults.
