OP. Chairman, there are no contradictions anywhere. Read the pages again and again, and see they are two different scenarios. He said the departments account for their budgets and defended them. In the second scenario he perused and passed on for approval what had already been defended by the various agencies or departments. So, where is the contradiction? Always check and verify write-ups well before crying foul. modath: |

modath: I came to the Party late. I am not on twitter. What is Ayedee saying essentially? @Topic. Nigerians should not get it twisted. Dasuki is complicit but he is a tough bird not scared of bird (Prison in UK parlance). He is of the mindset of the tough old boys (Buhari, OBJ et al) not scared of jail unlike the 'aje butter' paperweights of today like Brigadier General Momoh who Obanikoro and Fayose were bullying over the Ekiti scandal. Dasuki means it when he says he is not scared of trial. With his U-turn and contradictory utterance he is, in my opinion, sending a message to others he knows are weakling, and crapping their pants, that he will implicate them. It should be an interesting show because it appears Dasuki will fight being made the scapegoat for others all the way to oga pata pata at the top if una know wetin I mean. like I said earlier, Dasuki is complicit. He cannot feign ignorance of what went on. Yet it is implausible he alone stole nearly $2 billion as even international newspapers (like the London metro) carried today. "I go down, we all go down" seems to be Dasuki's stance now. Na popcorn mode we dey so oooo. 3 Likes |

docadams:You mean you can't be an enemy of the Kremlin and still expect a Jacuzzi bath. Putin's Russia is a rogue's paradise. Why do you think corruption in their public sector and judiciary is approaching Nigerian levels? The rule of law is not the problem. It never is. It is the best thing that can happen to any society. And why do you think China "has become the envy of the Western world"? ha! |

Eziachi: So funny... I like the way you have used "loggerhead". If Buhari were to have a grudge for being under house arrest it would most likely be against Babangida, who also had him incarcerated for years. As a soldier he would have known that Dasuki was merely "obeying the last order". The fact that PMB divorced his first wife because of her appeals to IBB to release him suggests that he must have felt hard done by. Yet he has not made a move against IBB. I don't believe he is vindictive and I also can't see how he will elect to take it all out on Dasuki. Everything suggests that Dasuki was heavily compromised in the Boko Haram movement. |

JuanDeDios: You better grow up from your infantile intelligence. What do you think will happen to Congolesa Rice if she behaves like Dasuki? Do you think issues of national security are what you blab about in public, in a security conscious environment, like Dasuki is doing. And you think that Dasuki should be the one procuring military hardware for this country. And most of all, you think Dasuki is acting right by posing a challenge to the government of the day. In sane clime Dasuki is a security risk and he should be dealt with as such. He is a potential double agent. Boy, in the world of secret service, nothing is real. Even the lives of the agents are not reals. They operate according to set of rules different from the usual. You get it? In the U.S. he woull be lucky to be alive. In Russia and China. he would definitely be deleted |

docadams:When you watch movies, learn to see fiction. You want to learn something about the world of intelligence, ask adults. In China or Russia, minions would be deleted if they stepped out of line a big way but not a former national security adviser. Not even President Putin or the secretary-general of the Chinese Communist Party can order a former NSA or equivalent position summarily shot. He would face a secret trial, yes, but it won't be what your Neanderthal mind is conjuring. In the US or the UK, he would face a publicised arrest - if the media got hold of it - and would be put on trial which will not also not be held in the open since the government can plead national security and the public would have to buy it because of the sensitive nature of the position the person occuppied. But in the end he would be dealt with according to the book - the UK does not have the death penalty, for instance, and none would be invented because docadams is angry. You say in the secret service, even the lives of agents are not real - you don't even know what you're talking about. Dasuki breached national security - if the allegations are true. Since I'm a Nigerian with long exposure to what these scums in power are capable off, I am rooting for the government against Dasuki and I hope he gets charged with treasonable felony or something similarly serious and investigators and prosecutors don't mess things up like they're wont to do. (Of course, I'd insist the rule of law is followed - something your types can't deal with - you would have the person doused with petrol and burnt, Aluu-style, without pausing to think of the possibility of false accusation because, according to you, that's what they'd do in Putin's Russia.) I don't care if Dasuki is tried secretly or openly - although I think openly will be better since in a country as corrupt as ours there is tendency for them to try to do wururu and shield some of the people involved - there's no way Dasuki stole $2b alone. And it's Condoleeza Rice, not Congolesa... If she broke the law, she'd be put on trial. That's what will happen. Yeah, you think she'd be summarily shot, tied to a piece of rock and tossed into the Potomac River. In Docadams Republic. |
