The reasons Saraki is trying everything to scuttle the case by any means possible. It will be all over for him if the trail goes ahead and he is found guilty.

3 Things That Will Happen To Saraki If Found Guilty By CCT

POSTED BY: HAKEEEM OGUNYEMI NOVEMBER 5, 2015

Bukola Saraki

Grave punishments await Senate President Bukola Saraki if he is being found guilty by the Code of Conduct Tribunal over a 13-count charge of false declaration of assets.

Nigeria’s Senate President Bukola Saraki is currently on trial at the code of conduct tribunal for fraud in asset declaration while in office.

The direction of the trial is currently unknown but lawyers have started looking at the consquences of the offence if he is found guilty in the ongoing trial.

According to the Fifth Schedule of the 1999 Constitution (as amended), if found guilty, Saraki shall face any or all of the following:

1. removal from office,

2. disqualification from holding any public office

3. forfeiture to the state, any property acquired in abuse of office.

However the tribunal chairman, Justice Danladi Umar before adjourning the case to October 21-23rd had ruled that the charges are criminal in nature.

Therefore it’s possible criminal punishments be applied. Today’s trial (5th of November) witnessed a walk out by Saraki’s counsel to protest the contination of the CCT proceeding despite the case being tabled at the Supreme court.

Jail nko ?

Sorry i forgot that is for those who steal small small coins.

Chukwudi44 will gladly go to jail instead of Saraki. That is the meaning of Abobaku.

Saraki's lawyers be like :

"They did not spell 'stealing' properly in the paper served. The case lacks grammatical merits"

Poor sore election losers : " everybody is a thief. This is witch hunt"

Witches : "We dnt have powers to steal this much"

Sorry i forgot that is for hose who steal small small coins.

Will be good if that happens - assuming it is the mandatory punishment and not discretionary . Never say never. Bode George, under Yar Adua, became an 'elewon' when nobody thought that was possible.

The only the thing that should happen is the removal from office.

2.. No body own the future, it shouldn't be determined by man.

3... if his properties are taken from him, it will go to another criminal, reference: Alamesiegha vs Larmode.

He's 2019 presidential ambitions is hanging on a very thing rope, this penalties are the main reason the dude had been running from one court to another to stop CCT from probing him, but am pretty sure if he escapes this case, it would still be resurrected anytime he tries contesting.

No wonder he is shaking in his boots

No wonder he is desperately trying to usurp the judicial process

No wonder he cannot face the judge and make arguments in support of his alleged innocence

No wonder the pressure is getting higher for him

No wonder Nigerians don't believe or trust him

No wonder why he will eventually pay for his crimes

No wonder his major support base is in the PDP

No wonder Nigerians removed PDP from power and elected Buhari

No wonder why his deputy - the fat baboon will eventually face the same fate

No wonder why it is inevitable that Nigeria will be great

No wonder.....I just tire!

The dramas are too much to bear. I never really liked following politics till the inception of the PDP and APC saga. What if he is dubious? Aren't assets subjected to some form of verification after their declaration? I'm really not conversant with the Code of Conduct enabling Act so I'll just drop the matter.(quote me not as regard Saraki's trial)

Whatever his punishment may be is not my concern. I have not heard of a country that achieved great heights by going after corrupt individuals. We can never convict all corrupt people in this country. I have given bribes (not proud of it) but I can never be arrested because it hasn't been documented. ( Or Maybe they are trying to make an example of the 'scapegoats' so as to frighten others).

My point is (though a bit myopic) that don't go chasing shadows of the past in order to achieve some form of self justification. The foundation is rotten, right? All you got to do is bulldoze the building and build a new one. Don't start examining each brick and reprimanding the builders for a job poorly done. Do that when you have a better edifice and that will speak for you. (I wonder if anyone has been securely convicted of corruption so far).

People are waiting, stomachs are rumbling, cars aren't moving cause they're sleeping at ⛽ stations, Boko Haram is at its best, Biafra is being handled lightly. We voted for change though I didn't but I have come to accept it. I wanna see changes. Not the same old.

Koker in his song said Owo ni won fi n do something o but I say (as regards this our Naija politics) actions and not drama ni won fi n do something o.

Sai Baba do something real quick. Time is never on our side. Make it count.
