A booby trap set by the group Boko Haram has detonated in a barracks in northeast Nigeria's Borno state, killing at least 10 Nigerian soldiers and injuring several others.

Al Jazeera's Yvonne Ndege reported that the Monguno barracks was previously under the control of Boko Haram but had been retaken by the Nigerian army a couple of months ago.

There is a popular video of Boko Haram trapping and capturing a T 72 . They also displayed captured British made tanks and armoured cars in the capture of Gwoza. Nigeria Airforce has destroyed quite a number of captured NA tanks from the air.

We are speculating the Nigerian army must have moved into well emplaced Boko Haram positions which is the reason why the battle tank was deployed to aid fire suppression, support and protection against hostile defensive fire on attacking Nigerian soldiers.... Now this mammoth shield was taken out, imagine the chaos, the devastation and bloody carnage all of these would wreak on the exposed fighting ranks..... If we were fighting, and our main tank is out,boy, are we going to run away,f**k Nigeria.. Now imagine runaway and disorientated soldiers in terrain they aren't familiar with...... Boko Haram terrain. .....The jihadists will be picking them off like flies.
