The Nigeria Football Federation has
rejected in “absolution” the “mischievous
rumour” making the rounds that the
football federation gave the Golden Eaglets
a measly N20,000 upon their arrival in the
country, after the lifting the prestigious
FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile a few weeks
ago.
Speaking to LEADERSHIP Sports, the NFF
director of the communications, Demola
Olajire, vehemently debunked the news.
“Where is all this coming from? Why will
the NFF give them N20,000? Is it for their
transportation back home or to take
okada? If you say that we are owing them
match allowances and bonuses, that is
understandable, but when you say that we
just handed them N20,000 and sent them
on their way, that is utter rubbish.
“They were only told to return on
November 29 for a diner with the
president, but saying that they were given
that amount of money.
“There is nothing like that. We borrowed
money here and there to send them to the
tournament and we still owe them some
match bonuses and all that; we will pay
when we receive money for the
competition, without question,” Olajire
said.
The NFF scribe promised that the cadet
Eagles will receive the money “if we get it
before the presidential dinner, with a
number of presidential goodies in tow” and
asked those who run down the NFF to
continue doing so, but promised that the
football federation will only answer back
with its “efficiency” and “clear
conscience”.

But you believed they were given 20K each?! Guy, try reason na. The Presidency has since invited them to a dinner in the Presidential dinner on the last Sunday of this month which is 29th. Some mischievous elements just wanna make the Presidency look bad that they had to publish such sh1t.

Should the Presidency give each of them one car now, the PDPians would still be the ones castigating the Presidency for doing so in spite the dwindling Economy. Dunno what the President would even do that will impress those sadists!

Meanwhile some bastard cretins have been running around spreading a smelly rumour that Buhari gave the eaglets N20,000 because they were mainly Igbos. Even though it was clear that Buhari had not hosted the eaglets yet, those IPOB lunatics kept spreading this foolishness virus because they feel the best way to create a new nation is to spread lies and propaganda to fuel hatred across the land; and of course they keep infecting gullible brains with their tomfoolery. Animals!
