By the way If any group which is not igbo from your so called south south don't which to be part of biafra no one will give a dime about them likewise if any group identify with biafra, biafra will also identify with them. |

babyfaceafrica:The South South zone cried through the voice of Niger Delta Militant and yet, their problems remain the same. If other groups are comfortable with the current Nigeria structure, that doesn't equate to others who have had enough of the brutality and injustice in Nigeria. This is 21st century and we want to be advance and respected just like other European nation. Only Biafra can give that. Nigeria is a failed state. |

Armaggedon:both the governors and ohanaeze are political jobbers trying to play into president buhari good books by hijacking this struggle, similar to the way Niger Delta politicians made billions from obasanjo while claiming to be speaking for the militants. the easiest way to douse tensions is for kanu to be produced in court and released on 23rd November. i blame buharis vindictive nature for these problems. gej simplyly ignored radio biafra and radio chanji and they remained unknowned while buhari tried blocking radio biafra with much media noise and made them popular in the process. |

babyfaceafrica:south Sudan is not a brain child of the local indigenous people but of the Americans likewise the events in Libya and Syria. biafra is totally an indigenous youthful movement just like Singapore and Ireland. the new nation would be fiercely nationalistic. |

now you guys are talking...ever since you have been clamouring for BIAFRA it has not been appealing to the various ethnic group that makes up Nigeria , Becos they only see it as an Igbo thing...but protesting for true federalism has a national appeal...now even the south west, south south , middle belt etc will key into it ...please inform me to join this type of protest when it time for Lagos...we all must join hand together to restructure this country if not we will continue to suffer while our leaders will continue to still from the top Becos they feel its a national cake that must been eaten out off...so guys I support the protest for devolution of power but against secession. |

Reliable information I now have is as follows 1. Lower Niger Congress was not invited to this conclave 2. Chief Igariwey-led Ohanaeze hierarchy have confirmed to me that they did not receive any invitation letter as of an hour ago that I was in communication with them 3. Nnamdi Kanu's IPOB is not involved A strong suspicion now exists that today's meeting is being teleguided by Buhari's APC, using Okorocha to attempt to water down Igbo grievances with the nation. Without the three major stakeholders mentioned above, the resolutions of the meeting will be half baked. |

Chrisilo:[size=14pt][b]The impression that Igbos have suddenly decided not to embrace Nigeria is FALSE. Igbos founded Nigeria's independence and invested most heavily in areas of Nigeria outside their homeland because they believed in Nigeria, even when the others have NEVER believed in Nigeria.People like Muhammadu Buhari that oppress Igbos today, did not even know how much sacrifice Igbo politicians made for the independence of Nigeria. Igbos are only asking to be treated as EQUAL citizens of Nigeria and not 5th class citizens. Since, Nigeria flatly and callously denied their request to be treated fairly as citizens of Nigeria, Igbos are compelled to determine their own future in another country away from Nigeria's predatory slave-master relationship. Those northern boys threatening fire and brimstone should get ready to fight. In any case, our people still deaf to the idea of leaving the north should at least acquire some guns and machetes, in order to defend themselves when the northern mob comes for them. As for the impression that we will somehow give in to northern threats/blackmail and remain in Nigeria as slaves because of our peoples' property who had been adamant about living in the north, you must be totally mistaken. Justice and equality is not where Ibos through Ironsi restructured the existing federalism over 50 years ago when nothing was wrong with it because it favored them, and then now want to restructure the existing structure again suddenly because it doesn't favour them out of their poor political calculations. That is pure injustice and inequality to other Nigerians and we are clearly not silly to let that happen as you can see. OreMI22: |
