Rivers Assembly Screens, Confirms 20 Commissioner-nominees For Wike by vivianblog1(op): 8:06am On Nov 24, 2015

The Rivers State House of Assembly has screened twenty commissioner-nominees.

The nominees were also confirmed by the Assembly after the lawmakers deliberated on their qualification to be part of the State Executive Council.

Speaker of the House, Ikunyi Igbani said the screening and confirmation of the commissioner-designates was in line with Section 195 of the 1999 Constitution.
The Commissioner-designates are: Professor Keniye Ebeku, Mrs Tonye Oniyide, Dr John Bazia, the Secretary of the PDP in Rivers state, Walter Ibibia, Hon Isaac Kamalu and Hon Chinyere Igwe.

Others include, Mrs Ukiel Oyagiri, Prof Roseline Konya, Engr Kelvin Wachukwu, Ephriam Nwuzi, Bright Jacob, Hon Alberth Miller.

Also part of the list are a one time Commissioner under former Governor Odili, Boma Iyaye, Bar Monday Onyezonwu, Shedrack Chukwu, Prince Ugbogbula, Mike Anwuri, Rodaford Long-John, Akie Fubara and finally Emeka Onowu who will be representing the non-indigenes in Governor Wike’s cabinet.

Some of the confirmed commissioner nominees, who spoke with our correspondent said they were willing and ready to help fufil the election promises of Governor Nyesom Wike.

Its not a new thing, David Iyofor from Delta state represented non indigenes during Amaechi time as governor.

I know its a big deal to you as it cant happen in your state.but we Riverians usually recognise the efforts of non indigenes by giving them a platform in government to contribute their quota.

Who knows i might decide to make you a commissioner when i become governor and Tonyebarcanista would be my speaker.. grin

Is nominating a non-indigene supposed to impress?
In sane climes, if u've spent 15-20yrs in a place you have being nationalized not even categorized as NON-INDIGENE.
Why are Nigerians ruling in UK Rep and Senate houses. And this is an issue of a Delta to Riverian.

Later he will be staving them of funds like he did to Inko Tariah, greedy wiked Wike. All is doing now is because he is strategizing for reelection or how come it's after 6minths and 50billion Naira loan that commissioners are coming.
