Bro the above bolded is not entirely correct. Of cos u can control how u want to be perceived; its not by WHAT ur saying but HOW ur saying it. Using expressions like "low hanging fruit" and "barren expeditions" may be realistic reasoning, but the choice of words is poor. Emotions cannot be ruled out from these kind of interactions, u know. U can't be all efficient and logical about hookups and dating. Ur just gonna rub some ppl off d wrong way and u don't want dat bro, trust me. That's the biggest disadvantage of written discourse. I am not saying it, i I'm writing it and people are reading it and will definitely interpret things their own way leading to different reactions.

Just the way you deemed those words as poor choice some will see nothing wrong with it. Now matter how good someone's intentions are, no one can be sure how people will self interpret especially in a public forum.

It's like a basketball game. I focused on the delivery of my shot and not how it Will go in or how I will celebrate if it goes in before I even take the shot! Emotion is driving this and while I acknowledge it cannot be ruled out, it ensures animosity rather than reason drives responses where applicable. The emotion should be saved for romance.

Nigerians like to hear what they want to hear. If you don't give it to them, then, you have to be sidelined while others aligned are carried along.

What is going on here is a smaller version of what goes on in the outside world hence, very few in Nigeria speak up on matters without fear or favour because the desire to be accepted is much greater than the desire to be heard and nothing changes. I will stop here.
