OLAADEGBU:

What does the Bible say about terrorism? What does the Bible say that would apply to a terrorist?

Suggested answer:

The Bible doesn't directly address the topic of terrorism, at least not the type of terrorism we think of in the modern world. True "terrorism" is an attempt to incite fear, shock, and panic in a target population through the use of violence. The goal of acts of terrorism is to bully a government or culture into cooperating with the demands of the terrorists. In some cases, the carnage is inflicted for its own sake or as a punishment or an act of revenge.

Many of the weapons used in modern terror attacks did not exist in biblical times, such as explosives, chemical weapons, and firearms. News of an attack would travel slowly in ancient times and only by oral or written descriptions. The ability to inflict sudden, catastrophic damage combined with the rapid spread of news—especially in graphic pictures and videos—has made terrorism as we know it today possible. These capabilities did not exist in biblical times, and so neither did modern-style terrorism. However, Old Testament statements about Israel's responsibilities during war, scriptural comments about those who target the innocent, and the general sense of Christian morality all speak against what we would today define as "terrorism."

Ancient armies were far more likely to deliberately target innocents; in fact, the idea of avoiding women and children during war was all but unheard of in the ancient Near East. However, Israel was given explicit instructions for warfare that greatly humanized their military operations. Soldiers were given the option to return home if they were newly married, afraid, or otherwise unready for warfare. They were not encouraged to suicidally throw themselves into battle (Deuteronomy 20:5–8 ). Israel was commanded to offer peace—and with it a warning—to a city prior to any attack (Deuteronomy 20:10). This procedure not only left room for peace, but it gave non-combatants an opportunity to flee prior to the battle.

Israel was not encouraged to go out of their way to attack civilians instead of soldiers, as modern terrorism does. And the Israelites were frequently reminded that their limited, one-time-only orders to attack were based on the wickedness of their enemy, not their own superiority (Deuteronomy 9:4–6).

The Bible also expresses a strong condemnation for the shedding of innocent blood. Over and over, the Scriptures lambasted those who use violence against the helpless and inoffensive (Deuteronomy 27:25; Proverbs 6:16–18). Those who use common terrorist tactics such as attacking non-combatants and trying to inspire terror are also rebuked (Jeremiah 7:6; 19:4; 22:3, 17). Even on a small scale, using ambush tactics in order to kill those one hates is treated as murder (Deuteronomy 19:11).

This theme is continued in the New Testament, where Christians are explicitly told not to use bloodshed in an attempt to defend Christ (Matthew 10:52). Attempts to violently overthrow or influence the government are also off-limits (Romans 13:1). Rather, Christians are to overcome evil through good (Romans 12:21).

All in all, terrorism is simply incompatible with a biblical worldview. Opposition to terrorism is expressed both in the Old and New Testaments. The principles apply both to nations and to individual people. The Bible does not explicitly address the 21st-century concept of terrorism, but it clearly condemns everything about it.

Terrorism is a deliberate commission of an act of Violence to create an emotional response through the suffering of the victims in the furtherance of a Political or Social agenda. In line with this definition, the Bible records, amongst others, the following:- 1, The murder of Abel by Cain, his brother. 2, The preference of Jacob to Esau was intended to i!ntimidate Esau's tribe to good behaviour. 3; The blessing/curse of Ishmael. 4, The discrimination against Israel in Egypt. 5, The way of God through Moses to get Israel out of Egypt. 6, The Red Sea crossing. 7, The Plunderings of towns and villages by Israel on their ways to the Promised land. 8, The many actions of King David in all his endevours. 9, The arrival of a Star of God in the Middle East to enforce Islam by war. 10, The adventure of Jona to Ninaveh, the desperation of the Sodomites to sodomise the two Angels in the house of Lot, etc. These are all principles of terrorism, as God's styles, to force the sons of men on earth to return to Him in Prayers and supplications and in furtherance of their faith in Him, God.

I think they confirmed the evil in the Qur'an. They just can't let go the 72 virgins promised by Allah to each male muslims. Muslim men are favoured by the quran. Their women are like piece of rag.

Al-Tabari VIII:38:
"The Messenger of Allah commanded that all of the Jewish men and boys who had reached puberty should be beheaded. Then the Prophet divided the wealth, wives, and children of the Banu Qurayza Jews among the Muslims."

The Quran mentions this incident briefly in two ayas

Quran 33.26-27: "Many ye slew, and many ye made prisoners...And Allah gave you their lands, their houses, and their goods and women, and of a land which ye had not frequented (before). And Allah has power over all things."

Allah is nothing but a shameless pig. How proudly he is saying that he gave Muslims their women. truelly, no mercy and shame in him. cheesy

Hmmmn . . .

but there is an exact replica of that verse, albeit paraphrased, in the bible.

Numbers 31:17 - 18
17 Now kill all the boys. And kill every woman who has slept with a man, 18 but save for yourselves every girl who has never slept with a man.

now you have two options. you can either

1. accept that your yaweh is equally a disgusting pig.
2. you can claim that the God you serve is not actually yaweh, but the christian God.

if you claim 2 is correct, of course, you have to then answer, why is that verse still in your holy books?

of course, any argument you give can be re purposed to defend the Islamic obscenities in the world today.

I've explained this before.

in number 31. the Midianites were
descendants of Abraham through
Keturah, and by the time of Numbers 31,were a ‘tribal league’ of different clans and families. The midianites were
corrupted and they are seducing isreal to worship others gods:
Numbers 25:1-3
1 While Israel was staying in Shittim, the
men began to indulge in se*xual
immorality with MOABITE WOMEN,2 who invited them to the sacrifices to their gods. The people ate and bowed down before these gods. 3 So ISREAL JOINED IN WORSHIPPING the Baal of Peor. And the LORD's anger burned against them.

You see, the isrealite were having
se*xual intercourse with the moabite
women ,and this women are baal
worshippers , because God had promise
an everlasting covenant with Abraham,
so he want to preserve the midianites ,
hence He save the virgin, infacte this
virgin had to wait outside isreal for
purification:

Number31:19
19 And all of you who have killed anyone or touched a dead body must stay outside the camp for seven days. You must PURIFY YOURSELVES and your
CAPTIVES on the third and seventh days.

And in number 25:17-18. It state why
God oder the killing:

The LORD said to Moses, 17 “Treat the
Midianites as enemies and kill them, 18
because they treated you as enemies
when they deceived you in the affair of
Peor and their sister Cozbi, the daughter of a Midianite leader, the woman who was killed when the plague came as a result of Peor.”

The reasons are stated in this passage as:

(1)hostilities taken by the Midianites; and(2) deception of Israel by them, in the ‘affair of Peor’. So God preserve the
virgins so that the midianites will not be
wipe out, for they are among the
descendant of Abraham.

I will now proceed to make a similar argument for Islam.

The people Muhammad asked his people to kill were descendants of other people. and they were worshiping idols. so, obviously, the next line of action is to get in there and kill all the men. however, it wouldn't be good if their race was wiped out entirely. so it would be better to just have sex with their virgin daughters instead.

so what this means is, you're worshiping the wrong God according to Muslims. and from the quran and the bible, they have every reason to kill you. however, since you are the descendant of Abraham, or is it Noah? they will make sure your bloodline stays alive by keeping your virgin daughters alive as sex slaves. because that's okay.

your point here is that it's OK to kill people who don't believe in your God. just as long as you take care to keep their virgin daughters as sex slaves so you can "further their bloodline."

you say people Muhammad asked his people to kill were descendants of other people, how did you know this? the Quraysh are muhammed people, muhammed kill them for not worshipping Allah, infact it was muhammed who first break the peace treaty with his people.

Op.

Terrorist don't kill in christendom its not welcome, that means terrorism isn't welcome in christianity, it's welcome in islam. That's why the atrocities are core islam. If Nigerian muslims are peaceful, it's not your brothers

Ask yourself is islam peaceful? What does your Quran say about it?

Tartar9 is misguided.
