(1) if 2^n =y. Find 2
(2) 25* - 15 x 5* + 50 =0

N/B 2^n is 2 raise to power n and 25* is 25 raise to power x. Same with 5*
Re: Please Help Me Solve Few Indices Question by Drniyi4u(m):
Q1 is kinda odd, they rarely ask to find constants. Nonetheless, to solve for 2 (i.e making 2 d subject), take the log of both sides,
log (2^n) = log y
n log 2 = log y
log 2 = (log y)/n
take the natural log of both sides
ln (log 2) = ln [(log y)/ n]
2 = ln [(log y)/ n]

Q2. represent 5x by p, then substitute
p2 - 15 * p + 50 = 0
p2 - 15p + 50 = 0
solving it quadratically gives 5 and 10
i.e p = 5 and p=10

substitute p by 5x
5x = 5 and 5x = 10
5x = 51 and 5x = 10(taking log of both sides)
x =1 and log (5x) = log 10
x = 1 and x log 5 = log 10
x = 1 and x = [(log 10) / (log 5)]

or 2=y^-n .it means that 2 is equal to the n-root of y.
