my brother, statistics lo se mehn..lol

Am not in mood to give reasons why you should continue with statistics. you might want to consider pgd Economics since pgd Statistics is not offered like you said then proceed with MSc statistics/MSc Economics/PhD Economics..

cheers

MSc is MSc, continue with your choice and ignore the long way... unless perhaps it would be more prolific in your career goal. Think of who you want to become and what u need to get there.

hope this helps... Goodluck

I have HND in Statistics, wanted to go further in that line, but the area i am presently no PGD Statistics around, i have to go for PGD in Business Management TEchnology, Graduated Now. wanted to go for Msc Business Management, but someone advice me to go and do another PGD in Statistics so as to continue in that line that it is more lucrative and better than Business Management.

Please which is more better and lucrative between the two and which is more widely accepted?

Thanks.

it's depends on the career path you have chosen, if you are thinking management then MBA is fine but if you are considering a career in academics/consulting, you should consider MSC then a PHD.

Op. I will give you a little advice based on current happenings
It is preferable you go for Msc Statistics and be involved in data science. Trust me, that is the in thing right now. You can always do an MBA later when you need it ... but there is nothing better than technical knowledge at the stage of life. Do a search on data science and thank me later

Thanks. More suggestion please.

yeah, doing your post graduate study in statistics gives you more options in respect to the labour market. you'll see that as a statistician you could easily work in the business sector while still having an edge over one who studied business admin if he were to seek employment in your discipline.

Can't speak for the Nigerian job market, but I'll tell that in the U.S., Statistics limits you to Analyst roles or rather, analyst job positions are better suited to your skills. The advantage of the MBA is flexibility, higher pay and better prospects of management positions.

You know management calls the shots!!

The answer is simple. Ask yourself: Do I want to be a technicians/statisticians or do I want to manage technicians/statisticians? An Msc in Statistics limits you to that field and we all know the job market in Nigeria, if you are not flexible you are left behind. An MBA in Data Analytics or even Data Informatics will put you way ahead of your peers but rather than just thinking of graduate degrees, why don't you consider certifications such as SAS, CCAH and so on?

.....It all depends on what u enjoy doing......I think u like calculations very well by my assessment. GOOD LUCK!
