Cádiz report Real Madrid to RFEF over Cheryshev debacle

Los Blancos can now argue their case

Cádiz have issued a statement saying that they "have reported Real Madrid to the RFEF for fielding an ineligible player, Denis Cheryshev, following a unanimous decision to do so by the club's board".

"We received notification from the RFEF this morning that our written complaint had been accepted, and that Real Madrid have been given a deadline to present whatever arguments they deem appropriate. We have also received numerous different reports confirming that RFEF regulations were infringed", continued the statement.

"Once again, Cadiz would like to express their utmost respect for Real Madrid and everyone associated with the club. There will be no further statements until the Competition Committee make an official statement on the matter", it concluded.

According to Madrid insiders, a higher up in the organization recognized this mistake before the kickoff, and immediately made an attempt to fax a warning to Rafa's staff. Unfortunately, history repeated itself, and the fax was one minute too late just like the late fax on the De Gea deal!! Looks like a trend...

I got to read from AS that the person that tried contacting them aint even a Madrid official. Just an ex-ref who owns a little company that is into footie stats. He said he realised immediately he saw the line up and tried contacting them but couldnt get them over the phone. Plus, since they aint his client, he didnt have some direct numbers, hence the need to fax the info. But alas, it was already too late by the time the fax arrived.

Madrid are arguing that they didnt get the info from the competition committe. Meanwhile, there was a document that got circulated last night by one of the Spanish media about the notification sent to all clubs as regards suspended players.

Tomorrow will be the day for the verdict. I see them getting off the hook.

Imagine what the trio's relationship would be like if Neymar finally succeeds in acquiring a home close to Luis and Messi.

I swear down. It wld be pretty good but the only ish wld be their salaries. Barca might not be able to continue with the heavy wages and I don't think they wld wanna take a pay cut considering pressure from EPL spenders.

Suarez is unstoppable tho considering he left Epl for Liga and easy humiliated back there and that's the league with all the bucks.

Masherano and iniesta can talk to messi
Alves can talk to Neymar

Let's watch and see tho

Its a disgrace to football...All they care about his money but resulted to being unprofessional in handling player's suspension...Its a shame!

Note: Madrid is a club operated in a mafian-style and has been this way since the 50's when Alfredo Di Stefano was hijacked from Barcelona... angry

I guess the spirit of Franco lingers on afterall. Perez is the new Franco. Make them continue.

Well, its not just Goal.com. I really just hope three stars don't move and their wages doesn't affect Barca's pay book. I know Suarez can't move tho but the other two with the Manchester's clubs knocking with their monies and considering Pep moving to either clubs next season.

For my part, i guess what will hasten their exit is lack of trophies. As long as we stay competitive, winning trophies and generally carrying on being the best team in the world, it'll be hard to prise our best players away. grin

Trophies and good management are what sees clubs stay on as a going concern. Top companies would be falling over themselves to get deals with such clubs. Such club would then be at liberty to select the highest bidders. Then they continue to be in money. This is the situation Barca would always wish to be in. angry grin

Fortunately, we're winning trophies. Administration is not bad. So I cannot see how Messi or Neyboi and not definitely Suarez would be tempted to leave. Messi for one, sees Barca as as the club of his life. Generally, Barca have managed to keep him very comfortable. They will always see money to keep them happy.

Well said!
I believe Messi would only leave Barça if he's not treated well and unhappy with the situations of things. I don't see him leave because of money. He's a die hard fan of the club.

None of them can lure Messi with money. He would only leave if he's not happy with the way he's treated. My only fear is Neymar. Because, Ney has a father who is money freaked and has a lot of influence on the guy.

Even neymar won't leave. His father can't make all decisions for him, and btw who gives up the chance to continue playing with the best and winning the biggest trophies ? The financial situation we're in is not as bad as the media is making it look, it's just another way of trying to unsettle us
