Let the public hear from them.

Oh really?

Have you heard from Emefiele on this one though?

Shouldn't we hear his own explanations?

If he wants to talk, let Emefiele talk. I just do not want people using the clear dubious approach of Goodluck to remove Emir Sanusi as a point here.

I would like to hear Emefiele's explanation.

EXCLUSIVE: How CBN emptied its vaults to finance PDP’s presidential campaign

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) practically emptied its vaults apparently to finance the presidential campaign of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), sources conversant with investigations into security spending in the last administration have informed TheCable. ...

As you can see, this has gone beyond an investigation to an orchestrated MEDIA trial.

Looks like the 'investigation' is not meant for the courts but for public prosecution.

I won't dignify your post by exchanging banters with you but by your reasoning, I have no doubt that your IQ is seriously impaired. However, Nairaland is meant to educate kids like you. States cannot pay salaries not necessarily because of pulsity of fund from the Federation Account but simply because of State Governors' wastefulness, ingenuity and playing politics with govt funds. In the last elections, money meant for salaries were used to finance the campaign of Buhari and other candidates and that suggested why Buhari was arm twisted to approve the bailout fund. Read newspapers and open your minds to happenings in the country. OK?

Oh really..and who controlled majority of the states unable to pay salaries prior to may 29th? From your response, I can see you are 'well informed' but have the IQ of a dolt hence your inability to properly process information. Another defective product of a failed educational system.

Emefiele was nominated by the President and not appointed. As CBN governor, he is autonomous and independent. He should not be a puppet to the puppeteer. His primary concern should be that of the country's welfare and not damage the very economy he is expected to protect. What will be his position when Bank's CEO squander shareholders and depositors funds? That is exactly what he has done and he should made to pay for it.
Apart from all the mind burgling allegation, his performances and even physical look clearly explained that its an error to put him in such delicate office. He's nothing but chalatant and only bou-bou president can appoint such human being

I must appreciate PMB, EFCC, SSS and other security apparatus for their effort thus far. There must be conscious effort to tackle corruption and the effort must be sustained, not minding who is involved.

I have been following this military arms deal saga for sometime or should I say Dasukigate and I can easily posit that that the ex president GEJ and his allies should be tried and convicted by the court of law.

especially the following:
Ex President GEJ - obviously involved because pervetion of system, looting and diversion of funds at this magnitute could not have been successful without his involvement.

Ex finance minister Okonjo-Iweala - she is culpable and guilty as far as I am concerned. She had a fiduciary responsibility to protect Nigeria's interest while in office, she was perverted, compromised and used to deceive, loot and defraud Nigerians. She served till the end of the tenure without disagreement with the govt so she must have been involved. She lacks integrity and she is corrupt. She must be tried and sanctioned appropriately. She has to go to jail. I am so sure you will discover her own designed and executed frauds, mismanagement, looting and scams if her office transactions are investigated too.

Ex NSA Dasuki - a major actor in the scam, fraud and monumental fraud. He has to face the consequences.

CBN Governor Emeifele - This is the reason I don't usually want bankers manning the office of the CBN governor. They have been corrupt and perveted so they will hardly change character in the CBN. We got it right with Soludo, though he had his areas of failure but on the average, he did well. I think we should focus on having executives of other financial or investment institutions and economists govern the CBN henceforth.

Others - Raymond Dokpesi, Bafarawa and every others implicated must be made to refund our funds, face the consequences in court and served appropriate punishment.

This is a very annoying comment. Have you analyze how the money was shared. It was not exclusively to the North, there was no ethnicity sharing ratio. Only friends and business interest to Jonathan got a piece of the cake. Please go and use Omo detergent to wash your brains so you can think straight.

For me I don't care who becomes the new CBN governor because at the moment, we are undergoing an economic depression. Banks are downsizing, with the NCC fine on MTN, I expect them to begin to downsize too. Even state governors are crying wolf on salary payment. The CBN don't have enough foreign reserve to protect our naira. Oil prices will further go down. So why will I care if an Hausa man who I know will not succumb to presidential will take over and do a decent job.[/quote in your shallow mind now u think I have listed some points or facts I don't really know where to categorize ur dumb comments. What is the relationship between banks downsizing and NCC fining mtn,you said state governors are crying on salary payment now to you that is because the cbn governor used some money on campaigning for pdp, I really don't have much time to answer you but when you want to boast of analyzing, analyze and come out with facts and not this rubbish you spewed here.

Whether we like it or not, our type of democracy will always promote the act of using State funds to finance the election of public office holders be it at the State or Federal levels. This is not suggesting that it's a good practice or the best way to go but that's the reality. Has anybody asked questions on how Tinubu, Fashola, Ameachi , Aregbesola and other APC stalwarts allegedly used their respective State Funds to finance their party when they were in opposition? Did anybody try to unravel how Buhari's electioneering campaigns were financed (pls forget the story of N50m donations from members of the public)? How about the billions of Naira APC spent on advertisements both locally and internationally? Who financed the fuelling of the many private jets Buhari used during his nationwide campaigns? What about the money spent on Buhari's Chatham House appearance? Where did the funds come from? The answer is not farfetched. These are monies from State covers under spurious, fictitious and questionable expense heads. It's as simple as that. Obviously, the N78million and N300million allegedly spent by Fashola on Website and Borehole respectively might not have gone into his private pocket but for party financing purposes.
APC and Buhari are fighting a battle that may boomerang if care is not taken and I see them burning their fingers along the line. Kettles should desist from calling the pot black.

So wht is your point exactly??.... u haven't said anything as far as i am concerned, APC is corrupt yes, buh wen PdP was in power y didn't they go after these APC governors who were corrupt, they didnt, now APC has come let dem prosecute all PDP corrupt leaders. When PDP comes back they do same to Apc leader, with tht there just mite b a li2 sanity n the system....kudos to buharis war against corruption

You must be reading upside down. Hence, a reason I advised to wash your brains with Omo detergent. At this rate, you need to add Jik to bleach and format your brain cells.

Our economy is facing a serious challenge as a result of falling oil prices. Oil revenue seems to be Nigeria's main revenue source i.e. Foreign Exchange (i.e. Dollars). What Emefiele and his co-conspirators were doing was to take dollars from the Treasury account and disburse to Jonathan's friends on the Jonathan's firm authorisation. Consequently, depleting our foreign reserves that should be used for useful things. Please, these monies were not accounted for.

I will love to go deeper with the analysis, but first, I have some important stuff to do. Second, I would prefer you request humbly.
