it's really much of a gimmick but gimmicks are needed for good marketing. thats why samsung will give you a heart rate sensor, a curved screen and wireless charging (who needs all this?) and give a high price in which many people will later rush for because of this gimmick specs

because u dnt use it dosent mean anoda person dnt value it,fingerprint is the 2nd most secured featurer after iris scanner,it is only if u dnt secure yr phone at all that u wont find this wonderful,heart rate sensors are also good for health monitoring especially when coupled with a smart wrist-watch.
yes u can call the curve screen not needed and also the wireless charging not necessary but its an added advantage.
The only phone i term ovahype and xpensive is iphone but then who cares,our choices defers!

How much secure data will you put in your phone to require a fingerprint sensor..i'm not saying it's useless but most people dont need it. by the way if you hard reset a phone, you can re-register the finger print..also for the heart rate sensor, you wouldn't use it much and you will pay a large sum of money for it.
