A house located at Mafo street,along College road is currently burning at 3:00pm (local time) www.metronaija.com correspondent who was at the scene of the incident confirmed that the fire started at the last apartment of the 2 storey building and the Lagos state fire service arrived at about an hour since the fire started and a baby was recused in one of the three apartments this afternoon.See more photos below

Fire Service arrived about 1 hour after the fire started. Imagine all the things wey for don burn but thank God they saved a child

Why would it take the fire service one hour to arrive the scene of the incident?

From Alausa to Ogba is less than 20 minutes driving at 60 KM/PH. Through Yaya Abatan to College road is less than 10 minutes.

There are no major traffic along the routes mentioned at this time of the day. Why one-hour? Someone needs to be queried at Lagos State Fire Service immediately.

Don't they use technology to detect locations and smokes from residential areas?

During harmathan fire incidence are rampant. I hope they were able to salvage some properties if no life was lost.
