UNILORIN! UNILORIN!! UNILORIN!!!..... The school that claims it is better than far in ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE whereas they are better than far in CORRUPTION.
The school that claims they provide WORLD CLASS GRADUATES IN ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE whereas they provide WORLDCLASS GRADUATES IN CORRUPTION....no wonder they dropped from number 1 to number 6 in the nuc ranking of this year.......
I am a UNILORIN aspirant for the year 2015/2016 academic session nd had 245 in my utme nd 78% in my post utme...nd I applied for accountancy in the corrupt institution.....
I am writing this open letter for all Nigerians to see how corrupt and wicked UNILORIN is.
Unilorin cut off mark for my course accounting is 65%...I had 78% nd yet I haven't been given admission...where as there are those who had below the cutoff mark nd av been given admission just because they have an insider or willing to bribe people to gain admission...it is just unfair when admission ain't based on merit any longer....but based on how much you are willing to pay..
We Nigeria students are crying for change....this not the change APC promised us....we are fed up of the nonchalant attitudes of our government to our admission problems.....
We are all having headaches because it is hard to believe that our sleepless nights and prayers to pass jamb nd post-jamb is all gonna be waste after all....
We want the federal government to have a say on this matter...because I can't sit at home for another year nd watch my hard earned marks be a waste......
I am standing up for my mates and saying NO TO CORRUPTION IN THE UNIVERSITIES....

Sorry about your predicament. ...if you want to secure admission in a tertiary institution with little or no insiders' influence in Nigeria next time, I would suggest UNN for you...

same with their post graduate admission....awon oloriburukugbogbo

I regretted ever chosing unilorin as my first choice............1st class in corruption....yeye school.

Op i had 247 and 80% for medicine. I saw ppl with lesser marks been given. The system is corrupt and nobody to defend us. Guess we just have to let go and keep trying..

What has APC got to do with your predicament, or Nigeria at large?
Certainly, there is that pain, agony and anger. But you're channeling it in the wrong direction.

Have you even lamented to God? Maybe your problem is spiritual.
Nairaland can't help you.

The best we can do is console you and tell you words that'll definitely not make you feel any better.

Please take heart, I believe God has a better plan for you.

There is a saying that success loves hardworking, but most tertiary instead in Nigeria have change the saying to "success don't really recognize your watery blood( sweat) but it will appreciate your cash"



If you are willing to do another course I will advise to choose UI and go for economics and maybe enrol for Ican because ui don't have accounting. I would have told you to choose Oau(accounting) but their academic calendar is slow.

If you really what to study accounting why not try any of unilag, unn or abu. These three skuls run a merit base admission but the condition to get in ain't easy

oau admission is not different from unilorin
U will see guys having low scores been admitted into their course of choice especially staff candidates and people with influence while in the same year u will see guys with high scores been given one useless course while some are not given anything.
Especially in their college of Medicine u will see people with low score there while some of the high scoring students will be dumped in departments of microbiology, botany, biochemistry and faculty of agriculture.
All because they don't know people.
Their merit quota is very small compare to the quota used for admitting people with influence

Oau and ui is actually different from unilorin, I have not seen a student that score up to the required marks and found his name wanting in any of the duo.

I meant unilorin not ui. For oau their merit quota is not up to 50 percent especially for medicine.
For unilorin it is not that they don't have merit quota but what it meant was that their merit quota is low.
In fact all schools has a merit quota. If anybody say that some schools Don't have merit quota that person is lying.
All tertiary institutions like unilorin has a merit quota but the criminals who we call admission officers deliberately reduce the merit quota in order to enable, their cronies, children, wards secure admission.
And that is a criminal act.
University of Ibadan has an high merit quota that why it is the best when it come to admission issue
