I don't know why people always have to be tribal about everything,we all know mtn is partial in there process but does that mean the are zoning people out,for all we know people might have been shortlisted randomly,which means once u have above 60 you could be shortlist and the fact that you have 99 doesn't guarantee you being on the list,

MTN have sent another SMS, this time with more info. In it, we were also asked to check our mail, but no email has come in yet.

you are hereby invited to the MTNF scholarship award ceremony on 11th December at One thousand Capacity lecture Theater,(FUTO), Owerri. You are free to come along with one extra person ( parent/guardian). Bring a means of identification along and also check your email.

well,with the ones I've seen check that you do not score below the last person awarded in your school,and you are not a DIRECT ENTRY student........ DE students were not awarded..

. As long as your name is on the list and ur attendance is confirmed at d award ceremony(there will be attendance register) u should get paid in less than a week. The ceremony does not start at 7 by d way .dey still av to check u in so that d ceremony might start say 10 or 11 depending on when almost every1 is settled.

For those like me who are interested in sponsorship for your schooling, i found this program online, www.schoola.cf they have plenty of scholarship programs and loan for sponsorship also you can get small work to do while in school. its really cool

for UI,the last guy got 63 I think....then DE students weren't chosen..

out of the 500 awardees more than 400 are from Western part of this country. using simple mathematics, u can determine the disparity between the two. no formula needed.
Am sure they aren't the most brilliant students that sat for the exam. for those of u who met all the criteria and weren't shortlisted, know that that is one of the characteristics of a nation in which you live. a nation full of exclutionist, selfish, nepotist, opportunistic individuals. this every where in this nation not only on mtn scholarship awards but even at job interview. nothing like equal opportunity for everyone in this nation. if you must be great then, u must either be among the high class or work hard for yourself if you are not among the high class. so pls take heart.

I don't know about you but I think it was mainly based on merit except that some schools like unilag had more students..... I really haven't seen anyone with more than 64 that didn't get the scholarship..... I'm pretty sure mtn will have awarded more but couldn't because of the huge debt they're in.....we should be happy they organised it, with such debt they're in I wasn't sure they'll do so initially

. For my award ceremony i was asked to show my school ID, submit my passport and sign against my name b4 i got my shirt n entered d hall.

for last year transport was paid along with d scholarship so dat if u dint get d scholarship, u got 2k5 but if u got #202500

People ought to have gotten to the venue of the ceremony by now. If you are there say 'I'.

I want to use this medium to congratulate all the awardees both new and existing ones and I wish everyone save journey back to their residence after the ceremony. I would like to encourage those of us that participated but not awarded that this is not the end of our journey, God has plan for everybody, we are only trying our best, let this be part of our experience. Success will be ours at the end... Logical says congratulations!!! to everyone
