OLUWASEUN OSEWA is a capital FOOL while MYND44 is a small puppet. Ban me now.
Calling Seun names wouldn't promote your course. I think our brothers from the east need a platform like nairaland to promote their idea because her membership cut across different ethnic groups. The problem here is that rather than promote your course, most people here only sow seeds of hatred which is impacting on their real life relationship with other ethnic groups. Even if Seun is wrong, their are better ways of arguing your case. Tagging him a tribalist is to me unfortunate. I believe what Seun did by banning further discussion on biafra is absolutely right. the ban is an holistic one, entailing both pro and anti biafra agitators. Nairaland as a platform has its on mission and vision. If Seun would not allow his platform to promote secession, I think their are so many other platforms like d media (print & broadcast) and other online fora. IF CHANNELS TV CHOOSE NOT TO BROADCAST ANY ISLAMIC PROGRAMME, WILL MUSLIMS GO AND SHUT IT DOWN?

he does not need any superior argument. with the way biafrans have displayed and conducted and presented themself on the forum since the whole biafran agitation fiasco I think the proof is in the pudding. no superior arguments needed whatsoever when the defendant has practically hanged themself. let me tell you, if you are good at reading between the lines you will see that he is simply telling biafrans to fork off but he is putting it in the most diplomatic and sweetest way possible lmao. like who says ' i love igbos so much and dont want to see them leave nigeria so therefore no more talk of biafra on this forum lol ' ? read between the line. your peoples agenda only consist of abusing other tribes. you dont need a superior argument to tell someone like that to fc-uk off, do you ?

"...reading between the lines"? Don't even go there. If you have to, then I will tell you that his post is a mere preparation for a possible anti social media law and the possible negative effects on his "business". He just lacks the right choice of language to protect his interest. I am sure he will re-phrase this soon or later. Take it or leave it.

I support Seun 100%. Seun is a business man and has the right to protect the integrity of his business. Biafrans have taken over nairaland with anti government and anti Nigerian sentiments. They insult everybody and anybody who does not share their ideas. They follow the footsteps of their director, who think that agitating for Biafra means both verbal and physical war and threats of all other Nigerians. They have really degraded the value of Nairaland. Most respectable organizations would not advertise on Nairaland.
Biafrans should take their Biafran agitations to Igbo owned fora and social media like Linda Ikeji. Let Seun return Nairaland back to its glory days.

Seun:
Fellow Nairalanders,

Nairaland loves Igbos and Niger Deltans very much. The thought of being separated from them for any reason is unbearable to us, so we have decided that we will reject any attempt by anyone to use Nairaland to promote the idea of removing Igbos and Niger Deltans from Nigeria.

We have updated rule 9 of Nairaland to reflect this decision. It now says:

I'd like to urge all Nairaland members to respect and obey rule 9. Mynd44 is in charge of enforcing it. If you break this rule, you'll be banned.

Thanks,
Seun (Founder Of Nairaland).

Am proudly Igbo and I support this move 100%..
Enough of the biafra nonsense by persons who do not even know they stand to benefit should the socalled biafra come to be.

Although, this is coming rather late, but it is better late than too late.

Well done Seun.

@seun. Dude chill, you seriously lack insight. NL is a public forum, where every member is responsible and accountable for his/statement. You ought not to be for or against. Ever seen a media rep taking a personal stand? Adjusting the rules to suit your personal opinion is wrong.
I support this guy, Mr. Seun u shouldn't be biased, this is a human right issue, as the owner of this forum all you did was to, threaten pro Biafran agitators?
Well just get ready for banning work, the world is watching Nairaland.

Restricting site access to certain visitors is the norm in cyberspace. Many sites restrict visitors from Nigeria and many other countries, it has nothing to do with free speech. Seun can decide to restrict or ban Biafrans, or even Ghanians and Jamaicans, that is his prerogative. Nairaland is not the only forum in Nigeria.

Your i.Q should clarify what i mean...

How do the 2 events correlate? One is an act of terrorism. Scotland is trying to break off from the UK, has Facebook enacted a law prohiting people from using Facebook to advance their course? Or have Facebook banned people agitating for the breakaway?

1. You Nigerians complain and agree that the country is not united but are opposed to people who are agitating to form a country free from these problems
2. Like Sweetguy25 said in his thread, Yoruba and hausa are the only two tribes enjoying this scam called Nigeria. Igbos and their sisters in the Nigerian Delta don't gain anything by being Nigerians. The only reason Yoruba are happy being Nigerians is because the development of Nigeria is taking place in their region.
3. Nigeria does Not love the Igbos and Niger Deltans. Please remove that statement from. The Riverine environment of the Niger Delta has been destroyed from oil activities that bankrolls the country. Yoruba and Hausa don't care.
talk about the igbo's alone and leave the niger delta out of it! They are not igbo's you know! They even hate the Igbo's more than yoruba or hausa! They will never buy to dis idea yeye biafra or what gibberish do u call it. You think they don't know u people are after their resources!
