killing of unarmed civilians is wrong no matter what. The shites have rights enshrined in the constitution. And going there to kill them and arrest their leader without them breaking any laws (yet) is wrong.

Personally you can't come and kill my family members like that, and I just smile and let it go....I will hate anybody on uniform, and if there will be a call for revenge probabilities are high I will join.

That's how bh started. From isolated killings of small formations of soldiers and taking their weapons to attacking and sacking barracks.

The rate of human right violation and extra judicial killings in this dispensation is too high so far..Buhari needs to call his dogs and to order before the baboons start calling for blood too. Enough of the blood soaking. Nigerian lives anywhere is valuable. Hope amnesty international is taking note.

All of you celebrating this high handedness should know that without restraints, tomorrow it could be you.

The leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria, a group propagating the spread of Shi’te Islam in Nigeria, Ibrahim Elzakzaky, has been arrested by Nigerian troops, following a siege on his Zaria residence, PREMIUM TIMES can reveal.

A credible source in the sect’s hierarchy also told PREMIUM TIMES that a top leader of the movement, Muhammadu turi, and the head of the medical team of the sect, Mustapha saidu, and several others were killed during the siege.

The Nigerian Army and members of the sect have accused each other of instigating attacks that led to the death of members of the movement on Saturday.

While the Army accused the Shiite followers of attempting to assassinate Nigeria’s Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai, the Islamic movement said soldiers simply decided to attack “defenseless people”.

It was gathered that the Nigerian troops sustained a crackdown on the members of the sect throughout the night as heavy shootings and sounds of explosions were heard in Gellesu and Sokoto Road, where Hussainiyya – the spiritual centre of the sect – is located.

Residents of the area told our reporter that they saw armoured tanks demolishing the [size=20pt]Hussainiyya shrine[/size] and the residence of the leader of the sect.

A source at the military hospital in Chindit Barracks Depot of the Nigerian Army, Zaria, told PREMIUM TIMES that they received 19 bodies of people killed in the encounter.

The spokesman of the Nigerian Army, Sani Usman, could not be reached for comment and is yet to release a statement on the arrest.

The average Nigerian on the street knows that Soldiers are oppressors. They beat, disgrace, embarrass and kill civilians at will.

Unfortunately, those two sects fight to d death in any society they find themselves. And northern Nigerians are sunni and also very traditional wt their ancient hausafulani traditions, which shiitism frowns against. Shiites hate monarchies and will overthrow it, like they did wt d shah of Iran. They also believe in one spiritual leader to rule over them, like d pope in d vatican.
The northerners are scared & don't want it to grow, where they start brainwashing other Muslims & then it becomes a major thing.

The main issue here though is them using d military to do their dirty work. The chief of staff probably got a pat on d back from d emir of zazzau for a job well done, after d massacre. Probably got a thank you from buhari too.

don't know why most Muslims are intolerant. Shiite
is the most peaceful sect of Muslims. Just that

honouring the death, cursing Aisha and others. But
then Christianity have many divisions who have
contradicting belief and yet are tolerant of each
other. If I wanted to be a Muslim, I will go for the
Shiite cos they are very peaceful. Boko haram is
Sunni, ISIS - Sunni, all other Islamic militant group
are Sunni too.
