the roads disappeared or what those pic was taken just few years ago and its material the government that did it. what we are talking about is the general layout, beauty and serenity of the inner streets of owerri especially the new owerri, world bank area.

I took most of those pictures late 2014 and they look much better than they were in 2011. As at 2012 most of new Owerri was empty, scanty or uninhabited. Our memories as humans is however short.

This picture was taken in late 2011 and this is 40/40 junction.

I took this one in December 2014 around same spot but from opposing side.



What has changed? The forest has witnessed massive build up and the dirt road has been expanded and dualised at 90% completion.

As at 2012 this place was complete bush with no road and houses.

Ochiedike Road was not there as at 2012 either

As at january 2015 this place was not in existence. We can see the road is still under construction while houses are equally springing up. By the middle of 2016 some people must have forgoten this place started in 2015.

nice one. but the op should also post pictures of Douglas road, old market road, school road, rotibi owerri-portharcourt road,the abandoned general hospital building scattered in the 27 local government areas or move to Orlu and okigwe where we have abandoned projects

I wonder what some idiots achieved from given people wrong information, of all places to call inner street is the Concord avenue, a place were the state assembly is situated, a place where the most rated state hotel is situated, a stone throw from imo state ministry(all ministries), a state reserved area. Nigerians should learn to be honest to enable things better for us. Let's call a spade a spade without minding whose oxe is gone.

dude most of the pics I posted so far are those of new owerri, world bank and other surrounding parts of Owerri and these areas make up more than a third of Owerri municipal Area. I was fascinated by the architectural layout and design of roads within these area. the greenery allure and the lush garden was so refreshing. another good thing about the town is that they are maintaining the road standard in developing other areas.

If you are "thrilled" about this, then you have low standards as to what makes a city world class.

Stop quoting me or do you want me to post the real pictures of Owerri here and now? 87% of the roads in Owerri and Imo state at large are in a total mess. Maybe we can do it with pictures for clarification.

This thread is talking about inner streets but we have not seen one here but continuous recycling of government house pictures which is common in every state. Show us decent inner hoods where the common man reside like the ones below.

This fool go and trace your paternity. What you prefer personally does not mean anything to the general public who prefers otherwise. It is only a goat like you that will prefer a non economically viable state to an economically viable one. At the end of the day you wonder why people tend to migrate more to economically viable states than others..

Apart from those 2 settlements, the rest of New Owerri is exactly as you see in those pictures.

I don't wish to be part of this thread but I came in when some disgruntled I.diots started calling me out over this. I don't just care but my pictures will speak which is better if your people will not mind themselves and focus on the thread than courting trouble. I don't care either what you guys post here because it means nothing to me but any moment my state is mentioned here then expect my presence. Simple!

Rochas has literally closed down the once two major towns in his state - Okigwe and Orlu

Rochas obsession with Owerri makes many Imolites laugh at the man with scorn.

Nothing government works outside Rochas Owerri again in Imo state.

Rochas has his businesses and hotels and his house, perhaps, the most beautiful house in Nigeria in Owerri. He therefore reduces Imo state to Owerri as he uses the resources that come for the 27 lgas of the state for developing only one local government area.
