Temidayo Akinsuyi, Lagos

Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa (SAN), Lagos-based human rights lawyer has said President Muhammadu Buhari must honour the invitation of the House of Representatives to explain what he is doing about the security situation in the country, saying it will be unconstitutional for him to ignore it.

He said Nigerians can no longer leave the issue of insecurity which has collapsed in the hands of the President alone.

Angered by the worsening insecurity in the country, the House of Representatives on Tuedsay summoned the President over the cold-blooded murder of about 43 persons by suspected Boko Haram Islamists insurgency group in Zabarmari village, Jere council of Borno State.

Adopting a motion under urgent matters of national importance sponsored by Satomi Ahmed at the plenary presided by Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila, the lawmakers insist that President Buhari be made to brief them on the true state of the security of the Nation.

According to Adegboruwa, it is time for Nigerians to get involved in the issue of security in the country through elected representatives.

“The President should Honour the invitation of the House of Representatives in order to explain to the nation what he is doing about the collapsed security of Nigeria. The situation has gotten out of hand such that we can no longer leave the matter with the President again”.

“Security is everybody’s business so we must all get involved through our elected representatives.

It will be unconstitutional for the President to ignore the invitation of the House as that will send a wrong signal of lack of empathy for the killings going on across the land”.

Another SAN will come out tomorrow to explain why it's not compulsory for Buhari not to attend in person.

Haven't we seen when appointees of this same government ignored summons from the NASS?

Buhari has committed lots of impeachable offenses. If a government cannot protect its own people, the head of the administration ought to step down.

Everyone is literarily begging Buhari to sack non-performing service chiefs but he tells us to go and suck a lemon. That oldie is completely useless!

In a sane country, the stupid man would have been impeached or resign willingly. Even the nass, reps, ministers, governors are dormant.. Yes, they are all there for their selfish interests, we are moving backwards instead of developing.

Buhari does not appear in live sessions just like that.

You have to give his people like 3 weeks to feed him, give him medications, write his speech and make him learn the pronunciations before they will now shoot and edit his video reading his speech and send to the House of Rep.

Lol thats why I argue they should amend thr constitution to impeach civilian appointees. As commander in chief military should naturally be off limits.

Ofcourse it's constitutional for him to respect the call from the house of rep but we all know he's a stubborn Man and won't respond. The highest this dictator will do is send someone to meet with the house. Shame lipsrsealed

Achieve Financial success through creativity:

Enterprising people always see the future in the present. Enterprising people always find a way to take advantage of a situation, not be burdened by it. And enterprising people aren't lazy. They don't wait for opportunities to come to them, they go after the opportunities.

Enterprise means always finding a way to keep yourself actively working toward your ambition. Enterprise is two things. The first is creativity. You need creativity to see what's out there and to shape it to your advantage. You need creativity to look at the world a little differently. You need creativity to take a different approach, to be different. What goes hand-in-hand with the creativity of enterprise is the second requirement: the courage to be creative. You need courage to see things differently, courage to go against the crowd, courage to take a different approach, courage to stand alone if you have to, courage to choose activity over inactivity.

Lastly, being enterprising doesn't just relate to the ability to make money. Being enterprising also means feeling good enough about yourself, having enough self worth to want to seek advantages and opportunities that will make a difference in your future. And by doing so you will increase your confidence, your courage, your creativity and your self-worth, your enterprising nature.
As the year gradually comes to an end, be determined more than ever, to unleash your creativity and achieve financial success!

The current National assembly will be remembered for her legendary rubber stamp, since 4th republic I have never seen national assembly who was clear executive appendage like the one leading by Ahmed Lawal. Then, they were blaming Saraki for non performance of lifeless, am yet to knw who is responsible for continuous non performance now
