veraponpo: Misinformed comment ....more than 2000 law students were called to bar yesterday. Singling out children of few influential people cannot hardly provide basis for your crying foul. We live in a county of over 160million with less than 30,000 lawyers. I daresay we need more lawyers. Then again, most of these kids do not litigate.....so what's your point?? 1 Like |

olagamalin: My point is our society is operating on a seemingly undefined academic plan. A society like ours should firstly identify our needs, where we are deficient and pattern our academic challenge towards that area not the blanket, general studies. What is the need of this society today, what are the skills missing, what will help us grow? These are the relevant questions that Universities should be answering. We have enough lawyers for now. From your point above, do you think our society needs 2000 lawyers now? If we have 2000 agriculturists now, I will gladly clap for you but lawyers, who needs them for now? |
