Dear NL,

I made a transaction online with my Firstbank card for a certain amount and a different(larger amount) was finally debited from my account. after months of complaint they explain to me that the initial amount(on the transaction receipt) was less than the FX and they were making a loss so they returned that amount to my account and debited a different amount from me( more than 30k difference).

I think this is fraudulent and I would like to know if there is any organization, maybe like the CBN who I can actually report this to.

Was it an international transaction? If so, then your bank did that as a result of FX Rate

And there isnt anyone you can report to

The price could be stated in any currency but it would be a foreign/international charge. Like your bank said, it was the FX rate.

I don;t think it was a Nigerian Website/Transaction
