Following the impeachment of Hon. Ikuinyi Owaji Igbanyi as the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly Minutes ago, A new Speaker has been elected.

The members of the Assembly has unianimously elected the member representing Okrika State Constituency in the House Hon. Daboturidima Adams as the new Speaker.

HON. Adams represents Okrika State Constituency in the Rivers State House of Assembly.

Smart move by wike. He want his loyalist to become acting governor of river state, so that he can finance his election and control the guy as he like and be favour but I doubt he can succeed on this. He just add to his problem by removing the speaker

somebody is trying to get the mum's touch again.

I thought that over 20 members of the House were sacked. Why are they still sitting rather than vacate there seats.

Back to topic, the move by wike removing the speaker is good and bad.

It is good in the sense that wike wants his loyalist to bethe Acting Governor in the event he loses at the supreme court.

It is bad as the speaker is a political god son to Uche socondus and other heavy weights of the party in the state.

I foresee a strong alliance against wike before the election. if i were to be wike i will go for rerun rather than the supreme court because the more he delays the more things will keep unfolding in his camp.
