I was listening to Nigerian Info, this evening. And the Anchor woman is of the opinion that Nnamdi Kanu has been freed.
If the DSS, is still holding him...........hmmmmm.
I wonder if we are not being taken back to the days of Abacha, and other military Junta. Sincerely, this is not good for our democracy. "The Labour of our heroes past shall not be in vain".

It is no longer news that Nnamdi Kanu was discharged and acquitted this week.

I just read a thread on nairaland that the DSS has charged him again for treasonable felony.

Where is Nnamdi Kanu now? Is he still in detention? If he has been freed is he still in Nigeria or has he returned to the UK?

Answers please.
he his in my apartment...

m talking sense into his head... lol

I expect Kanu's lawyers to provide situation report of Kanu's release procedure following the court's order to release him. I don't want to believe DSS will disregard the court order to release him. That will be bad for Buhari's democratic credentials and capable of over heating the already charged polity.
Unfortunately,I doubt if his lawyers have any idea where he is. The law/decree that set up the SSS gives them a leeway to detain anybody as long as they like regardless of court order.

It was the court that gave them a grace of 90 days to hold Kanu and I think they will complete the 90 days before they reach out to the courts.

Kanu could be in any of their detention cells within the country.

Sir I will advise you to be a bit more vigilant and stop making pronouncements without having all the facts.

The DSS has indicated that there are new charges against Nnamdi Kanu, these charged are based on terrorism. He will be charged to court very soon. The case dismissed by the Judge was based on the former charges that the DSS themselves indicated that they are no longer pursuing.

Nnamdi is facing a new trial now.

So the DSS is disobeying the Nigerian court again? I hope when another president comes after Buhari and decides to make a complete joke of the courts you lot would not start screaming everywhere because from all indications, Buhari's government has no regards for the Nigerian courts.

omenka, Beremx, Passingshot
The court decision is because of Kanu continuous incarceration by the DSS and it's delay to file charges against him. That is not to say the court is not aware of Kanu vultiperation or scorn against the Nigerian state.

So, it's funny how some uninformed supporters poured out the street to celebrate his freedom. Now that charges had been filed against him, he would have the opportunity to defend the insane reason why he chosed to promote war or genocide against the state through his hate speeches.

I forsee many adjournment leading to this case, and by the time the Nigeria government finished with him, he will wish to be a Togolese in his next world.

If the DSS had a solid case against Kanu, I doubt the court would have discharged and acquitted him.
Moreover the DSS should have respected the court order. Flouting the court order as an invitation to anarchy.

The court did not discharge and acquit him. The Court ordered for his release in respect of detention of the basis of charges of intimidation etc. Before there is an acquittal there must be hearing of witness(es) and there was none before the orders of Ademola.

Maybe that is what he is hoping for to garner a lot of international support and sympathy. He is incarcerated but radio Biafra is still on and someone else is calling the shots.
Something is going on and a lot of this ain't making sense anymore.

I hope they r ready to take responsibility of what dis could lead to.
We are no longer in democratic state but autocratic one.
They are just holding him for what reason?None, the court has discharged him unconditionally. Why holding him hostage?Instead of releasing him so that the tension will reduce.
Gush i‘m fade with this govt

The way some people are supporting lawlessness simply because the victim is not one of them is annoying.

Is this country really one?

The same High Court Judge that gave that 90 days detention order also ordered for his unconditional release.
I'm not surprised at all. When we were campaign against this barbaric government during elections, the children of anger and pain called us all sorts of names.
let me put it this way, any democracy that don't respect court orders is nothing but a dictatorship.
Re: Where Is Nnamdi Kanu Now? by Kestolovee95(f): 4:38pm On Dec 20, 2015
They are trying to delay his release and continue torturing him in order to sign the memorandum to be good nigerian and drop his pro-biafran agitation, and he will rather die in there than do it. They should simply kill him, if they have testicular fortitude to bear the ripple effects that will come thereafter. The time wasting and drama is too childish. cheesy cheesy cheesy

The DSS is simply re-arresting him on new charges.
I don't think he will walk out prison easily like that
