zinachidi: Let me summarize this for you since SH can't. 1. The Nigerian mentality is phucked up. 2. You have oil, you export it but can't refine for your own use. 3. You don't want Number 2 on the list because of corruption. 4. To solve your problems build more refineries. 5. Be more organized. 6. Countries like Germany don't have oil but there are no scarcity. Why is that? 7. The Nigerian mentality is phucked up. 10 Likes 1 Share |

Bollinger: Sorry it is not the Nigerian mentality. I have seen Nigerians doing big things in other countries where a lot of thought go into governance. Simply put my friend, the leadership is our problem and I'm not the first to say this. |

If the marketers were falling behind, FG should the declare the Oil market free and allow import from Saudi, Iran, even Angola. With that their wont be scarcity, although fuel price may be high afterall we are paying higher price. In other News Nigeria refinery will be rebooting operation in less that 10 days. Dangote refinery is booting soon (2016) |

Our past leaders ruined this country instead fixing our refineries and building new ones to curp d mess, they prefer to import fuel when we have d raw materials for fuel production. In this day and age exporting raw materials makes no economic sense. It is finished products that we shud be importing. I will switch to diesel vehicle cos its cheaper than pms 1 Like |

My solution to this issue is for NNPC to take over the importation of fuel and CBN should handle the funding directly until Dangote is able to complete his refinery. Secondly FG and NNPC should make an agreement with China for it to be the sole exporter of refined fuel to Nigeria and part of the agreement should include purchasing on credit at low interest rate when ever their is a dollar shortage. 1 Like |

Re: Why Fuel Scarcity Will Not Go Away Soon In Nigeria- Sahara Reporters. by Bollinger(m): 2:01pm On Dec 20, 2015 |
Riensi: That's where you go it wrong. Nigeria has gone through enough leaders to realise that it is a mentality thing. you forget that it is an average Nigerian that becomes a leader. The mentality he's had is what he will use to lead you. Haven't we seen the jubilation when people engage in jungle justice? No normal society does that. you need to have a mentality for it for that to happen. Recently we saw the news of people climbing ladder to board a plane. In normal societies someone would have been sacked by now but it's business as usual. 2 Likes |
