Feleke has shown some certain degree of loyalty to Audu even in death ND the entire Igala people in extension (though one can't completely overlook the selfishness).It will be like a back stab to Feleke should any Igala politician accept d deputy.Let them shop for a vice in any of d other minority tribes like bassa etc.Besides they've all been clamoring for power shift in the state from "WE" the igalas.We'll sort the rest out at the pool after their four years tenure.

Yaya Bello should appoint someone from okene , let's ignore sentiment and the populace .let Kogi people be govern by anybody whether he is from minority or he is representing the interest of the minority in the state .may be he will show more concern for people that didn't vote for him .but he sud make sure that he started visiting and get used to local government in Kogi becouse I don't think he has ever visited any local government apart from his local government and Lokoja .

As the issue of who becomes the deputy governor to governor-elect Alhaji Yahaya Bello intensifies, the All Progressives Congress, APC, has turned its searchlight on the Igalas.

The deputy governor-elect, Hon Faleke had several times said that he would not betray Prince Abubakar Audu’ s political empire so soon by denying the joint ticket the people overwhelmingly voted for, stressing that if the party does not deem it necessary for him to continue from where Audu stopped, he would not change his loyalty so soon, despite the party’s insistence that he must be the deputy.

LEADERSHIP gathered that the APC had over the weekend allegedly met with some Igala stakeholders in APC to see how an Igala would emerge deputy to Alhaji Yahaya Bello.

It was also gathered from Igala stakeholders that many Igala sons and daughters are indicaing interest in the coveted position.

Those alleged to have shown interest in the position when APC leaders approached the Igalas for the replacement of Hon Faleke, include Hon Simon Achuba, former House of Assembly member, Hon Tim Diche, governorship aspirant, Hon Ikani Okolo, member representing Dekina/Bassa federal constituency in the House of Representatives and Hon Aisha Audu née Emeje, former governorship aspirant.

A stalwart of APC from the area, Alhaji Ibrahim Linco Ocheje told our reporter that he heard the rumour but nobody has officially made the position known to him as far as he was concerned stating that? it is mere figment of imagination of those clamouring to be deputy when the position is not zoned to the area, adding that “even if it’s the child of necessity it has not reached that stage yet”.

No insults boy, just spoke my mind based on what I know. I personally don't have any problem with other tribes ruling Kogi state. The problem is with this particular candidate. He did everything to see APC loose the election. He neither campaigned nor contributed in anyway to the success of the party and its candidates during the governorship election. He rather chose to align with opposition against his party. He wasn't the only Igbira man that contested the primaries. It's like rewarding disloyalty. As for the Igalas, I know them very well. The general consensus is that Bello is on his own, but this could change tomorrow. Please be more civil in your reactions to posts on this platform it goes a long way to display your upbringing.
