Did the bible even mention skin color of those in biblical times?

In case you are not aware, people of middle eastern origin where biblical events took place are not exactly white.
their complexion ranges from very light shades of brown to dark. Some are even black.

So, this is just an artist's impression. It doesn't have to be religiously, spiritually, anthropologically or politically correct.
