Blame it on GEJ.
DONSMITH123:
President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday apologised to Nigerians over the continued fuel scarcity being experienced across the country, blaming the long queues that have returned to fuel stations on the activities of speculators and those resistant to change.

Buhari further promised Nigerians that there would be no increase in the pump price of petrol.

He made the pledge following fears by Nigerians that the Federal Government may scrap fuel subsidy which will result in an increase in the cost of the premium motor spirit, popularly called petrol.

Buhari, while addressing a joint session of the National Assembly during the presentation of the 2016 budget of N6.08 trillion, said the pump price of petrol will remain at N87 “for now”.

“Indeed tough decisions must be made but this does not mean that we would increase the level of pains being felt by Nigerians,” he added.

lets not close our eyes and shy away from the truth. Blame game apart.

All these troubles we are experiencing is because our foundation was weak. It took Nigeria 16years of democracy to get us into this mess. the highest supplier of petroleum in Africa and we went down the moment the oil price went down to show we had no reserve and we had govt of the moment that didnt plan for the drought.
The honest truth, a lot of thing must be put in place to solve all these issues and we all have to sacrifice to be made one way or the other.

i know you are a learned person and the reason why you are on queue, why you bought deodorant spray for such amount, light and everyother hardship is due to the fact that chronic corruption that has eaten up Nigeria. Every system is corrupt, in Nigeria, anything bad ir good is an opportunity to loot. If not for corruption our currency will not be this bad.

Imagine the billions looted was used for what it was really meant for; we would have wiped out Boko Harram out before they became strong, there wont be any abandoned project, our currency will be stable and everyother thing will move fine. No nation is saint but it has to be reduce to the minimal..I am sure you dont expect this present administration to undo the rot of 16years in few months. thats expecting too much and hypocrisy to be honest.
we are all in the mess together, everybody is a victim of corruption and bad governance.

Are Nigerians coming to buy fuel @ N97 in the filling station at aso rock or where ?...he better resolve the fuel crisis b4 young guys doing business with fuel tht their business is being threatened by the hyke in fuel price remembers him
Re: Buhari Apologies To Nigerians Over Fuel Scarcity, Pump Price To Remain At N87 by coldFLARES1(m): 3:56pm On Dec 22, 2015
Personally, I would agree that Nigerians deserve the apologies especially given the fact that the supplementary appropriation has since been passed; the major marketers are yet accumulating subsidy bills and prices stay high while products remain largely unavailable in some parts of the country.

However, I would be proper to highlight PMB's and his government's unreadiness to genuinely deliver the change they convenient deceive themselves with.

With close to 1.5tn devoted to debt service; 200-300bn earmarked for Special Intervention Programmes and a deficit of close to 30%, one would see no wisdom in retaining the subsidy regime.

If Buhari fails to develop the balls to take the right steps to total deregulation of the downstream oil industry, especially now that the prices are low, then he is not serious about effecting change!
