Crude sold $68 a year ago when N87 was the price & is $38 today (80%) decline and N2 is all APC & Buhari can give us.

Shame!
GEJ's time Crude sold $68 a year ago and N87 was the price of fuel/litre & $38 today PMB's time. despite (80%) decline from maket price, and with the current projection of fall to about $20/ Barrel in 2016. No more pay of subsidy for oil marketers still N2 to be removed i.e it will sale at #85/litre....Wow! I think we should be grateful to God.....

It was reduced by Jonathan's government two weeks before the election...

Na Campaign strategy..
Make una come see this bloody LIAR disciple of Alhaji LIE Mohammed angry
When did early January become two weeks to elections of March 28 or even Feb. 14 huh
Moreover N10 reduction is not in the same league with N2 official price reduction at which NO ONE is buying undecided
Plus the crude oil price has reduced heavily since January when Jonathan reduced pump price by N10.
So what is the EXCUSE of the dull, daft and dumb megida aka The CONFUSED One huh

BREAKING NEWS: Jonathan Lowers Petrol Price By 10 Naira.

Petrol now sells for 87 naira! Source: Channels TV.
With elections just 26 days away, the president has decided to lower the price of fuel. It is worth noting that oil prices have been reducing for some weeks now, and it took the APC to call out the president before the president can be reminded of what is needed to do.
Other countries all over the world lowered their pump prices weeks ago. Our president had to wait till 26 days to elections before he could bulge...by 10 NAIRA!

Please, please and please! Save us these endless rhetorics. Which international image is Buhari restoring? The one that resulted in over 500 Nigerians been deported from Cameroon and Britain? And which corruption is Buhari fighting? The one that encouraged or bred a whopping N8billion REMITA/TSA fraud? Is it the one that spared Ameachi and Fashola from EFCC but focused on opposition elements?

Your messiah promised to diversify the economy but made himself Minister of Petroleum. Why can't he directly oversee Agric or Solid Mineral Ministries instead of focusing on Black gold?

For your information, the revamp of Kaduna and other refineries was kick started by Jona govt , don't attribute it to any body language. I refuse to be hoaxed by this deceitful govt. OK?

So whose fault?

You cannot blame the greediness and wickedness of some demonic marketers,on the FG.

If you decide to buy at N135 and thereafter refuse to report such marketers to the NNPC as requested, whose fault?

Governance is not all about leadership,follower-ship is also key, play your own part by reporting demonic marketers to the appropriate authority.

The official price remains N87,for now.
Reported but nothing was done, maybe you too can report again.

Why can't APC deregulate the downstream sector? What is their problem? As at today people buy fuel between 150-250 naira per litre even with subsidy in place. What difference will N2 deduction make? The open market price of the product is about N91 per litre for God sake. APC should be sane enough.
They are sanely deceitful. Very professional in pranks.

I'm telling you what I know. invariably you're the wailer here. I was in California last year and I'd be moving there round 2nd week of January. Last year, the government or the regulating body or whatever slashed the price of gas by about a third the normal price. if you didn't notice this, then you obviously aren't in America.
swezenberg:
I live in US. Stop all these misinformation. The government of US does not determine the price of petrol. Their petroleum products have been deregulated many years back so many market factors detertime cost of petroleum products. That is why here in US dif ferret gas stations sell at different prices, so it depends on you to search for where you will get cheaper gas. As for reducing cost of fuel price. I thought it was 97 when I visited Nigeria last year so it must have been reduced by this government by 12naira. You hardly see a government in Nigerian history that reduced price of petrol by such margin so stop wailing

When crude oil was being sold at $110 a barrel, pump price in Nigeria was about N87. Now crude is about $38. do the math.

Can you please give a breakdown of how you arrived at N30?

It doesn't work that way sir. And when the price was reduced to N87 it was political and not economic. While the price of crude accounts for a substantial cost of refined products, there are other factors that are more or less fixed such as operating costs.

Please someone should tell this dude fuel is currently N140/litre or more. It's not just by making announcements mouth, enforce what you've announced too.

So announcing that NNPC will announce 2 naira reduction in fuel price is now news, issorait.

NNPC want to announce reduction in fuel price when their filling stations are not even functioning.

NNPC if all you can do is just 2 naira reduction in price, you should know you've done close to nothing.
Better leave it at 87 naira, totally remove the goddamn subsidy and most importantly, make the fuel available at that price. Even without subsidy, we shouldn't buy fuel above N87/l.
Filling station? There are numerous uncountable filling station across the country operating at 100%, please can you rephrase your sentence and tell us what you want to say.

End subsidy now. Its always been a fraud.. If u r in. oil and gas u will know what I mean. As for price control, it has t o be backed with enforcement. Filling stations shut down during the day r now selling. at night to beat DPR inspection and even. sell as high as N120. For a price range of N85, I think it makes a bit of sense considering todays exchange rate and d govt decision to scrap subsidy. If the forces of demand n supply come into play, then d multiple effect will d rive prices even lower below N45.

When Jonathan removed subsidy, was the price of PMS increased or reduced?
