Those nurses are always too rude to patients.
I've not been to a hospital where I see a very warm and caring nurse.

Their attitude alone can even make the ailment of the patient worse.

Sad!

That is the frustration I am talking about. Doctors pass the frustration to the nurses. Nurses, in turn, pass the same to Patients.

You can imagine. You look into their eyes and you see these nonchalant, "I don't care" attitude. They destroyed our health care system and want the government to fix it so they can destroy it again. Chief medical director will always pocket monies allocated to government hospitals, apart from pocketing ghost doctors salaries in the remuneration list.

There is a huge rot in our health care system perpetrated by these devils and vampires and they have the guts to throw tantrums at the government. Let them look at themselves in the mirror and be honest
Simple!rather than coming here to solicit for remorse in deliberate murder on line of profession.

I'm tired of explaining to you people. I did not exonerate the op from blame..read my first post. However, health services is not free anywhere in the world and emergency health services is not an exception. Somebody has to pay for it,be it the patient or the Govt. that's the ugly truth.
A good system is one in which the Govt pays for such services because it has the interest of it's citizens at heart. Problem with Nigerians is that we like free things and expect emergency treatment to be free because a life is at stake.
Blood transfusions would have kept that lady and others like her alive pending definitive treatment but will the op put his own blood into her veins? or because he is earning 150k/month(money that people spend in one night at clubs) he is supposed to pay for the blood?
stop being emotional about this issue and think rationally. You either continue ranting online or proffer solutions to the problem. I can assure you that these cases will continue to happen till we as a people demand a change from the policy makers.

p.s don't quote me again pls
i agree with all you said but in this situation the OP would hv billed every medication he's about to give to the patients folders. He will not pay a dime. After treatment then the hospital will start talking about money

second action: called MO (for instructions), who on d spot asked him to TOUCH NOT/ABSTAIN FROM TREATMENT!
3rd action: He "was incapacitated" and so watched her die!
4th action: he took pictures of her corpse! #perv!

I should consider giving you my $500 give away for this! Brilliant contribution...Just brilliant!

They don't care and I blame the public too because only few people sue and that is after refusing the pleading, begging and prostration. There are some many doctors that should be in prison.

You go to hospitals, no light, no oxygen, generators are faulty, but guess what, government has already allocated monies for these expenditures. Now ask, where are these monies channeled to? Funding the private lives of senior doctors and health workers. Doctors in this country are like our police. Plain stupid

He has a right to call you that, in view of the insensitivity shown so far. He is angry just like majority of the people here. The only indifferent ones here are you and your colleagues, who refuse to admit the error in your profession and general attitude and try to change the system, or at least, be the difference.

But you are wrong. I am a doctor and I work in the Nigerian system. Let me give you a story.
Some time ago I delivered a pre-term baby that is a baby born at 24 weeks . Immediately after birth the baby stopped breathing. The hospital I worked with didn't have oxygen and the two incubators where in use. I used my own oxygen cylinder on the baby and did ambubagged that is cardiac massage in the baby for it to breath normally. We entered my car and rushed to LASUTH. We were told no bed space and were referred to LUTH. We drove to LUTH, parked at the car park and walked over a 7 minutes to the pediatric ward where we were told they had no free incubator and had no electricity supply. We were referred to a private hospital in Surulere where the consultant was not around. We decided to go back to our hospital to continue care for the baby. Please note that all this time I was doing cardiac massage on this baby while someone else drove. On our way back to the hospital, the oxygen finished, the baby turned blue and died. We got back to the hospital and the husband beat me up for not saving the baby. This happened 4 years ago ; till date I have not received a dime for what I did. This is what happens everyday.

And the husband would have gone about telling everyone how he beat up the incompetent doctor that made him lost a child...
How I wish he can have a full knowledge of all you did so his soul will be tormented

Enough of these insults. You are not a Doctor. You don't have the slightest clue about what we face everyday. You guys come up here and accuse us endlessly. You guys need to chill. We're the ones in the system. We're the ones who face all the challenges. The healthcare system in Nigeria is in shambles. Govt ain't helping the situation and patients aren't either.
My guy, u r the one who needs to take a chill pill. Like seriously. What's with all the attitude. Who is being insulted? Just stating the obvious. We are brethren in this system. We al know the syste!m is in a rot. Not only the health sector is in shambles albeit, its a very important sector of any nations economy. And pray tell what is it that drs face everyday that other health care workers, the armed forces or even the avearge Nigerian doesn't face? We are all victims of the rot in the system. Don't always act the victim and learn to sheath ur sword. One love bro. E go better
P. S. Still being on the defensive. You just assumed anyone who opposes or speaks against u isn't a doctor. Smh.

Nigerians are naturally heartless in the wrong direction.

Imagine doctors that are meant to save lifes doing this in the name of money. This was even a government hospital for God's sake.

OP. You and that your wicked senior are a disgrace to that profession.

Now you came online to be pretending as if you care.

I pity you semi-illiterate Doctor, who is arrogant and yet broke. Lack both the skill and knowledge to troubleshoot illness. Frustrated and do not understand his frustration.

Unfortunately for you and your vampire lots, we are working to catch your kind and I hope you become my first victim. That is not a joke.
