Once we ban Generators, our industries and offices would collapse... most hours of the day, banks, companies and factories are running on generator... take that away and everywhere is grounded!

Even the ATM that you withdraw money from is powered by Batteries that are usually charged by Generators.

The government has to find a way to fix electricity problem without grounding the economy.
Southern Nigeria economy (especially SE) are about to be collapsed under

the cloak of cop21 climate agenda and Northern economy transformed

through renewable, and solar powered agricultural innovative initiatives.

You already have restrictions on fx(dollars & others), next restrictions on

international flights, and what more?

Can any of you dumb as**es commenting here connect the dots to the above

observations?.

At present, world's largest solar power project - Ivanpah Solar Power Facility of 392 MW - is at Mojave deserts in California, United States, the minister informed.
- Dubai is investing $3,300,000,000 ($3.3bn) to increase solar power generation from 1 in year 2019 to 3GW in year 2030 (10,000 to 30,000)
-4,486.55MW total operational power plant capacity in the whole world at the moment
-930.08MW total capacity announced for construction in Spain at the moment
- 4,776MW total capacity announced for construction in the whole world combined at the moment

- 13,000MW target by Federal Government of Nigeria.

Seriously this is big insult on the intelligence of Nigerians. Is this not the same Aisha that spearheaded the millennium development goals (MDG 2015) that failed woefully?
So the government refuses to educate it's masses so that they can get away with such cheap lies abi? Verily everybody will be held accountable for the deeds on the day of judgement.

Good! Good! I've been wondering since why no Nigerian government talks about solar energy!

We have so much sunshine in Nigeria, imagine how lives in this country would change if we have steady and cheap electricity from the sun.

My home is 100% powered by solar energy. My kids have never experienced a blackout since they were born because we've 24hrs free electric. I even sell electricity to two of my neighbors.

Even though it was expensive to setup, it has paid for itself. If I could do it why can't government establish solar power stations in every state?

I'm glad this goverment is going to invest it because solar power is the energy of the future. We've failed in conventinal energy after sinking more than $50 billion in it without any result.

I am beginning to suspect white a elephant project. How can a govt having no clear cut blueprint/master plan with regards to power make a bogus statment.I have always said that unless Nigeria reverts back to the National Development Plan of the 1970's,we are only decieving ourselves. Also,Politicians have too much control over various sector. The Civil Service needs to be repositioned to such an extent that continuity is guaranteed. The fact remains that this project is just another Dasuki episode.Solar electricity is very expensive and coupled with our poor maintainance culture a very inappropriate power source. There is also the issue of transmissn & distributn. Were these factor taken into cognisance.I see anoda Baarth Nnaji in this woman, all talk little result with lots of Jobs lost. The disengaged staffs of PHCN are laughing at all d gaulible Nigerians. The simple question I wish to ask the Minister of Environment is Why is she trying to do Fashola's job? she should pls focus on her ministry for God sake.
