good people,my mercedes benz 190e 2.6 6plugs is draining my pocket.Is an injector engine and consuming fuel.i changed de distributor,plugs and clean de nozzles but to no avail.mechanics kept setting de distributor(divider) switch.pls,gentlemen,pls help,wat do I do?tanks

I would also love to see the cossy engine and general condition of the car.
I Loved the 190 2.5 cossy (needs deep pocket to maintain)

oxygen sensors? leaking exhausts? pipe in place of catalytic converter? have you run a scan?

Either the injector or the engine is bad
If the injector is the one with switch change it to Manual type

Have u ever changed the air filter. It also has a switch at the airbox. I don't know if it functions as maf. Check it. Ur ride also uses oxygen sensor. Is ur idle high?

Have you noticed a change in fuel consumption or it has been that way since you started using the car?
This question might sound silly, but it is pertinent to ask.

Naturally, your car engine is a fuel guzzler but your driving pattern could have an impact as well.

That said, you might still consult a good mechanical for a tune-up.

In europe folks drive cars made as far back as the 40s with people turning heads to have a second glimpse of it.. I drive an 09 Jetta and have had 190e's

I'll trade my Jetta for a well sorted 190e any day any time.
