At long last Wike's Bulldozers were this morning sighted as they roll into the Woji Road axis of Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
Woji Road leading to Woji Town and Woji Estate in Port Harcourt is renowned to be the 'Traffic hot bed' in Port Harcourt due to its worst state of roads that had been abandoned by past administrations in Rivers State even after claiming they had awarded huge sum to contractors for the dualization of that particular road.

Road construction in Port Harcourt ought not to be a big deal but for those who are conversant with Woji area in Port Harcourt, they will attest to fact that residence of that axis have suffered untold hardship either in fixing their cars on a daily basis due to bad road or wasting productive man-hours each time they ply that road. The area which happens to be the choice area for employees of SPDC who take advantage of its proximity to the Shell Industrial and Residential Areas respectively in Port Harcourt also groan in silence each time they drive to or from work everyday.

The business community in that area is also not left out as businesses suffers due to low patronage as potential patronizes avoids that part of Port Harcourt like an epidemic disease.

The sight of bulldozers alone on that road made the popular 'keke' drivers to be yelling in excitement 'Wike is Working' as they hailed the road construction workers seen on ground this morning.

Nigerian roads are just too narrow. Isn't it common sense to widen them for a start.

Do CAT Bulls ply the roads like other regular cars? That you can see one shows it came out for a purpose and that purpose is what I am interested in here. If this is your definition of incompetency then I guess you need...

within the first one year of Amaechi administration Rivers state and PH in particular was a construction site. infact vehicular movement were restricted in most section of ph metro because of the gigantic nature of construction that was ongoing in the state____Roads were massively dualised and underground drainage with pedestrian walk way was a minimum standard. this massive construction was ongoing while the operation zero pot hole was also been implemented. this is unlike what wike is doing now taking us back to the era when mediocrity and nepotism holds sway in road construction in Rivers state

If there was anyone who knew better on road construction in Port Harcourt, then it would be you; my Civil Engineering guru.

Pls how many did you design or construct among those you mentioned?

nepotism they say is the father of mediocrity____give the job to the right people you get the right results and when you do otherwise the result will turn out awful. what do you expect when a politician in the person of austin Opara a former deputy speaker of fed rep. who is not a civil engr. and who has not been tested in an executive capacity is in charge of the zero pot hole initiative sad._____ of course he will like to chop his own turn according to Wike grin

From your comment its obvious you are conversant with Port Harcourt. I'm sure you must have also visited Woji axis. If after 7 years of Amaechi's administration certain parts of the city (with particular reference to Woji) was not turned into a construction site using your words, then it shows that Amaechi did the much he could and now Wike will also do the much he can as well. No hate against any of them. Meanwhile during the period of Amaechi that you mentioned, Wike was part of that administration as his Chief of Staff. He should share in the credit too or what do you think?

get my point, Wike is a mediocre. Amaechi did set a standard in road construction and that standard augth to be maintained or even improved upon. the most annoying part of this whole thing is that some roads that was started by Amaechi with his normal standard of underground drainage and pedestrian walk way were reverted to open gutter shallow drainage angry a shinning example among others is the psychiatric road. Amaechi constructed from CAS junction to within the christ embassy church. wike took over and mess up the whole project with open gutter and poorly construction angry

Even the most disingenuous APC supporter will admit in his heart that wike has worked tremendously in his short time in office but crass idiocy and career politicking will not allow them say it, but it does'nt matter because the average open minded rivers resident sees it and they will decide if he stays in office! THEY! Not tinubu, Ameachi, the hausa political complex or the yoruba media complex. Period!!

Nigerians are never truthful, Wike has done well for rivers people that i must admit. Nigerians are politicking everything, instead of them to support the working hand and put more pressure on him they keep blaming the man how e came to power.
