I can't tell you how much I despise these senseless and unprofessional animals called Nigerian soldiers.

Look at the gaunt looking hungry idiots. Their only claim to strength is the khaki knickers, taxpayer funded guns issued to them and the barbaric herd mentality cowardly disguised as 'espirit de corps' they share, whereby they would call for backup from their fellow cowards in case you beat them in bone to bone, man to man fisticuffs.

Bloody idiots. Something has to be done about these animals and they way they treat unarmed civilians. If there is anything positive about Boko Haram, it is that they have shown us that there is nothing special about our military other than the guns they carry. Bring 100 soldiers with guns and 100 local civilians with guns and you have a battle that either side can win, with the civilian side even more likely to triumph over those undisciplined animals in uniform.

You're putting a fellow human being in a boot merely because he mistakenly broke your windscreen that costs how much? Where is the discipline and professionalism they teach these fools in military school?
You are preaching to the bloody civilians that thinks this zombies are something special. Only in Nigeria that I know that soldiers act like animals in human skin, when they encounter armed civilians aka boko haram, now you see them peeing in their khakis. Bunch of senseless fools.

Cadets from hell. So wicked and heartless. How much is a windscreen worth over the life of a human being that made God sacrifice his only son.

God bless Ambode.

In a civilised society the police will intervane and those airforce officers would be arrested and would be in serious trouble for that because they have no such powers inside let alone outside their barracks Instead what do they do?stand aside and beg the so called air officers. It now took the intervention of a governor, what is the big deal.We have a very long way to go.

Whatever anyone does, there are legal means to address it. Soldiers meant to protect their country should know better. What training do they even get? Gra gra training only?

They even refused pleas from the police.
Why not hand him over to the police if truly he committed a crime or did something illegal? The police will take it seriously knowing soldiers are involved.
Jungle justice should never be tolerated in a civilised society.

If somebody probably living on $2 a day ruins my car (not just windscreen), I won't bother doing anything. Waste of time.

In Nairaland, or Nigerian generally can say anything they like, someone broke your windscreen and ran, are you supposed to leave him? Now he says he lost phone and 5k,who gave him the money or where did it come from? Will someone that lost his windscreen pay for his so called phone and 5k. Because the gov intervenes. Nigerians can't be truthful.

you can say this cos you never had encounter with people like this. The police will collect money and release him, you can have another car, but this guy's don't cos their salaries are poor and poorly taken care of, so what do you expect. Pls what are they begging for? If it's theirs, will they accept? It will happen to you one day and you will see the truth.

How do you expect professionalism in the military when some folks join just to dehumanize their fellow humans.Dahiru did wrong, but the two airforce personnel are DISGRACE TO THE MILITARY.
Re: Two Airforce Officers Arrested For Locking Boy In Car Boot (pictured) by muzeze77: 5:57am On Dec 31, 2015
The military folks should be made to understand that all human beings are equal, being in military does not give you the RIGHT to abuse other citizens, it does not mean that you are ABOVE the law. Being in military is like any other profession in fact wearing military uniform outside the barracks should be outlawed. This kind of oppression is what is encouraging brutalized folks to join those crazies boko haram. this two should be charged to court for assault, kidnapping and attempted murder

If you don't know then you are part of the problem Nigeria faces. A citizenry without education, morals and values. Isn't it clear that these so called airforce cadets (whatever that means) took laws into their hands. Isn't it clear they rejected the intervention of the rightful authority in the police. Isn't it clear that the military (and you pitiful citizen) have not emancipated yourselves from the mental shackles of decades of military rule where they are police, judge and jury (and in this case jailers and increasingly executioners) and where they tower above the police in issues of civil disputes. When there is impunity everywhere from the very top, why wouldn't this happen, why wouldn't civilians be gunned down by the military regularly, why wouldn't needless insurgencies, militants and secessionists be created by the state, why wouldn't our institutions be undermined. I will never blame those with power, I will rather blame those who offer them a blank cheque and will away their humanity.
