shaking my head at some of the comments here. cos I noticed so many fallacies committed by many people here known as argumentum ad hominem and the red herring fallacy. instead of tackling the issues raised, they start attacking the messenger, wiping up sentiments to distract us from the main issue.
I don't belong to any political party, but the truth is, you can't fight corruption by outright and deliberate violation of the rule of law most especially as the number one citizen of this country. it's totally illegal, illogical and even corrupt to do that. you don't need to become a monster in the process of trying to fight a monster.
if you feel the system is permitting corrupt elements to go scot free for their corrupt deeds, the best option is to sponsor a reform in our laws to block those loop holes so that it will no longer be exploited and in the process all corrupt element will be brought to book through the rule. By so doing you've succeeded in creating a system that checks future corruption. Even the lawfully convicted still have human rights should not be abused.
that's why no matter what, I will always respect the whites, call it inferiority or whatsoever I don't care, I appreciate anything that is good. The whites respect the rule of law to the later no matter whose ox is gored. they are crazy about building systems that ensure checks and balances rather than a single individual abrogating that role to himself. They are always futuristic in their plans that's why they put in place systems to ensure result reproducibility irrespective of who is at the helm of affairs.

it is quite dissapointing coming from our number one citizen. issues like this have forced some govt officials in advance countries to resign from public office. even bush that tried frantically in curtailing the activities of al que da was condemned by his people becos most his deed contravened human rights.
all I'm saying is for Mr president to sponsor reforms in our laws to adequately deal with corrupt people, he should not try to hijack the judiciary, becos he will not be the president forever, and when he leaves, we will be back to square with no laws to protect our commonwealth from looters.

How can we practice democracy without the rule of law, separation of powers, checks and balances, equality before the law, absolute supremacy of the law, fundamental human rights, independence of the judiciary, etc. I am meant to understand that a person is not guilty until proven otherwise by the law, but in our case, you don't have to be proven by the law before you are guilty, where is the freedom of fare hearing. Lets forget sentiment and do the right thing, all APC's are saint, that is what the president told us last night, what a shame. No president of Nigeria EVER takes an oath to uphold the rulings of the Supreme Court. His oath is to uphold the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and to see that the laws passed are faithfully executed....as Bryan Fisher rightly puts:

Hitler was a demagogue and an evil intellectual. His power was in his speeches . He was able to prime the German people to evil deeds using the power of speech.
Buhari is the opposite. He is not a talker at all. He is spartan and he appeals to discipline and some hardness. Bubari is not intellectual, he is a general and an 'executor' in an ordered disciplined fashion. The only figure in history you can even compare with Buhari is Comrade Josef Stalin.

So many young people from the SE are in trouble with Buhari. In their minds they see the need for what he is doing but the curse of tribalism, tribal inferiority and lies from parents and uncles has destroyed their orientation to social structures within the country.
