I don't have any problem with PMB changing his decision on removal of subsidy especially as we're already buying way above what we were supposed to pay. But they shouldn't go around breaking all the promises they made during campaign because it'll come back to bite them hard by 2019
Re: NLC: Buhari Now Captive Of Forces Of Subsidy Removal, Deregulation by ladenz(m): 6:28pm On Jan 01, 2016
I am not one of those who want Buhari to fail just so I can say 'we told you so'. However APC and Buhari's drastic change of opinion is annoying. Anyone who logically analysed the subsidy knew that it should have been removed long time ago but the so called progressives ground the nation to a halt claiming that they were fighting for our freedom. They used their emotional blackmail to paint the previous govt black. Now they want to take the opposite stance and pretend as if it's business as usual. If they are going to remove the subsidy they should apologize because they have held us back. If they had allowed it to go ahead then, we will have a clearer picture of where we stand now.

Jonathan's Govt deserves a lot of the bashing it receives but we're not being fair if we pretend that they were wrong in the subsidy argument. Even Oshiomole supported subsidy removal then.

NLC might be wrong but at least they are consistent.
Re: NLC: Buhari Now Captive Of Forces Of Subsidy Removal, Deregulation by 9jatatafo(m):
When GEJ's administration planned removing subsidy, APC as an opposition party sponsored rallies and demonstrations claiming subsidy was a SCAM that nothing of that nature existed. Now who is fooling who?

One if the reason OBJ's administration gave for the removal if toll gates was to increase pump price.

Now PMB administration is hell bent in removing subsidy that they perceived was a sham and scam and sudden introduction of toll gates.

Which way Nigeria in late Sunny Okosun's voice

The so called NLC is a part of the reasons fuel subsidy was not removed by GEJ. The after effects of deregulation would have long been forgotten if not for their cowardice in the name of protecting the workers interest. If PMB could not release Kanu and Dasuki on court order, NLC are nothing but empty vessels against his will. Deregulation will benefit average Nigerians more.

NLC we don't need your chalartanism now.... Pmb is trying to find his feet while you are trying to precipitate crisis where there is none... Or are you benefiting from the phantom subsidy payments?

Warning: if you can't contribute positively don't derail the Nigerian project.

I don't respond to mentions.
Some one called you zombi. That person is very correct

In the last 6 years, how many promises did PDP fulfill?
And your sad ass never complained because you were chopping easy oil and NSA money

If you were a sensible thing., nothing stops you from highlighting the unfilled promises in the last six years.
If you were a sensible thing, you should have known that your reaction clearly shows that you are already a fulfilment of my prophecy in 2019.

This is part of the response i will be excepting in 2019 . Some people with low brain always percieve critics of this government as enemy or people who benefited from the last administration.

His Certificate is not with the Army. The Army came and gave a well publicised press statement that they're not with Buhari's WASC Certificate through their spokesman. No counter official press statement from the Army has been given ever since.

Which subsidy again when crude oil is already $37/barrel?

You people don't know simple arithemetics .

Subsidy is gone until the international price of crude increases thereby making landing cost per liter over and above #87.
Why is N87 now the benchmark. Why not N40 or less? I thought even Tom David-West even said the price of fuel will fall to N40 under Buhari's government. APC, Bunch of hypocrites.

Some times you wonder if these people occupying sensitive union posts mean well for this country or sit down to reason before being used for selfish agenda.
Fuel subsidy has been one big bone in our throat for almost a decade; people have turned it into a lottery, undermining the purpose it was meant to achieve. How many SURE-P projects can we point to today? Then think about how much has gone down that road.
The present government has decided to remove the subsidy to free funds for meaningful development instead of feeding some sacred pigs but no, some Nigerians would rather collect garnished crumbs today so that their crumb-providers can keep stacking bread. Let's not forget that this administration is making use of far less resources to provide alot more based on promises made that must be fulfilled. Oil at $70/b and we were in a mess now it's even half of that and we can get PMS at about same price without the demon on subsidy, without the risk of reducing minimum wage and sorts... Let's analyse with wisdom and do what is right for our families and our children.
Nigeria is for all of us, not for a select few who have access to the National bakery or its supply lines!

The former regime said it wanted to remove subsidy which was rejected by Nigerians but when the opportunity presented itself in form of lower oil prices, the same government went ahead to reduce pump price thereby maintaning subsidy to score cheap political point. Now the price is such that the government doesn't have to pay subsidy hence my statement that subsidy has removed itself.

That was Tam David West and I am not aware he is a member of the APC. And if I heard him right he made the comment in the context of our refineries working properly.
