I really hope he does, that was his best acting in years. Almost certain that Tom Hardy would win something - 2 major movies last year, and commendable delivery on both.

Yup, it was a good performance. But Leo has always been that if not more.
However, Tom Hardy's attempt at trying to sound like a texan didn't suffice. It was just not convincing.
And my dear Arthur fucking Shelby also starred in it. I could never miss that voice if I was dead drunk *no homo*

Watched d documentary movie "Racing Extinction", it was so educating and enlightening and made me understand d concept of "climate change" like never before. At a point I was literary drawn to tears watching those dying species. You really need to watch it.

All southern accents sound pretty same to me, and he sure speaks with a commendable southern drawl. Petty convincing to moi... moi and a host of top movie critics across the globe. To pull off a southern drawl - one of the hardest American accents - ain't easy.

surviving a bear mauling is a matter of probability, & luck.
You can get so lucky, that you'd escape without a single scratch..

Texas accent? you are too anal about accuracy...
besides, I'm not sure what a perfect or faux Texas accent sounds like...I'm not adept to it..

No I don't, but that accent is quite unique. Almost all cowboy movies have that slur, it's impossible to miss. Even till date Americans from that part do.
But I drop the issue now.

of course. Texans have a distinctive accent. I'm acquainted with a girl that resides in Alabama - when she speaks it's almost like she isn't American...sounds really funny & nasal...

but I can't really differentiate between a feigned or original one...I can pinpoint a genuine new york accent, or Chi town[Chicago], or Atlanta, but not Texas....I practically have to rewind ma IPod about 3 times whenever I'm listening to Yelawolf's tracks, in order to fully catch the lyrics ..he's from Gansden...

hehe....you can't blame him jare.. The wigga has been binging & breathing the Queens English since he was infantile...

Christian Bale faced the same challenge, when he played Batman in the Christopher Nolan's trilogy.. He had a British accent, and was supposed to four-flush an American accent, because the Dark Knight is an all American hero...

at least they[Hollywood] try to be perfect, and are willing to go the extra mile in making drama as believable as possible..
The same can't be said for our very own Nollywood, where a character that has been living in Bronx for 10 years would still return to Nigeria with an unintelligible thick Yoruba accent

lol, it was like the analysts were indirectly encouraging the rest of us to become vegeterians, me? I can't o! But it was a good documentary. I remember watching d fish whose fins were plucked out, it was still alive and struggling to swim, I didn't even know what to say.

You're watching the complete Bond collection, are you not? Basically, a few of the early Bond films don't age well. The rapey quality of Bond's womanising. The whole yellowface thing, that's when a white person is made to look Asian. It's about the same feeling you get when you rewatch some old cartoons and you realise how very politically incorrect they were.

I agree, the movies do sort of hang low in this present time (especially the ones from the Brosnan era) but you've got to admit those qualities made the series stand out as classics.

I agree, the movies do sort of hang low in this present time (especially the ones from the Brosnan era) but you've got to admit those qualities made the series stand out as classics.

I actually don't know, although I really liked Karl Stromber's underwater lair and the general OTT of the early villains. Actually, I really liked the Brosnan ones, I know I zoned out during that Bond in Asia one & there were times I got really tired of some of the silliness that plagued Roger Moore's era, that I was way too happy when Timothy Dalton's overly serious (& regrettably short) era happened....then I lost my mind with Brosnan. I guess it's because he's the Bond I grew up with & I like the Goldeneye & The World is Not Enough songs too much. Plus, the Brosnan era did give us Wai Lin & her awesomeness.
