Its not every fight that comes our way that we fight. If truly he is the one that went to meet him, then I respect him more.

He might be wise enough to be keeping his enemy closer. Or he might have done it for reasons best known to him.

Either way it shows he is a level-headed guy who can also think deep and maybe have some foresight.
