Best you can probably get is a guinea pig (if you are in Nigeria). Nigerians are not fond of rodents as pets.

so na rat you dey call this fine name hamster, lol

i bet if you can get it in naija, looking at adopting a white rat too someday, but i still doubt before they start thinking im not normal

About 5years if well taken care of. Why not go for a rabbit? Way cuter.
