the rate at which marriage break down this is alarming..... the cause I can't really ascertain.... shul we blame the men.... or the women.... or any other factor.... what?....the worst part is that... bfor divorce will likely b reconciled.... bt ds dayz...once divorce comes.... the union is over for ever....

We are in a world where people now enter into marriage with Plan A,B, and C in place. What do you expect when they have already seen the end of their marital lives from the beginning? Only few people marry these days just because they want to spend the rest of their lives together.

People are freer these days.. before, knowing how divorce was frowned at will make you try to resolve any issues that come out of your marriage and also shine your eyes while choosing a life partner. ..

But now, you can always try a partner out(marry) and quit if he/she doesn't suit you. .. Nobody does homework before marriage. .

Also, people want everything on a platter of gold..nobody wants challenges. ..

The reason is ppl don't count d cost deeply b4 they go into it. They go in with flaky and shallow minds thinking of d enjoyments alone 4getting that life is not always rosy. Marriage is not for babies at all. Deep tolerance and less of esteem is required.

Many married ppl think more of their needs and how their spouses would meet their needs. Whereas it shd be d opposite. Once u're married, ur thought shd be how to meet ur spouses needs and feelings not ur own feelings anymore. He/she is to think abt urs and not u thinking abt ur own.

When God created marriage he said(Gen2:18) its not good 4 man to be alone. He created a woman to complement a man and to ensure she removes loneliness from him. But un4tunately what we have now are men complementing women in d name of civilization. Many women don't even take time to trace the origin of womanhood to why d creator made them. What most of them knw is what a man will do 4 dem and complement them with.

Finally gender equality(GE) is a major cause too. GE is good as in ending d old beliefs dat women shdnt go to school or dat women who don't have male child must be chased off marriage etc. But moderation matters also..the GE that makes a woman question her husbands authority isn't of God and shd be checked

I'lld like to say this. Many processes have been adopted to end divorce and they don't work. Only d creator of marriage can stop divorce and he has given the precepts to follow just like a tv manual.
