We live in a society where men cheat with reckless abandon. Some have the decency to apologise to their wives, she forgives and continues with the marriage like nothing happened. Others would not bother to apologise, they make her understand that if she can't take it, she should leave.

@ emboldened, that's not entirely true. Lotsa women get hòrny almost everyday, that doesn't mean they will just give up the cherry to any guy. Some women can see a guy in the club or pub and just get laid with him without them necessarily being slùts (happens more in foreign countries). While some ladies must have had some kinda emotional or romantic connection before sleeping with a guy. Some women no matter how hórny they get will rather wànk than give it up to someone then don't have no emotional connection to. Even the so-called friends with benefits more often than involves emotion than the well-accepted "no emotions" clause. So it varies, it doesn't necessarily have to do with ONLY hórnyness.

So why should a man forgive his wife when she obviously has strong emotional feelings for the man she had sex with?

But I believe in not generalizing. Some men can forgive such but may not be vocal about it because they don't want to be called weak.
While some women who can't forgive will be the first to push others to forgive.
Mostly it's all about preconceived notions of what should or shouldn't be for no tangible reason other then that's how it used to be in the past.

You are right absolutly, However What I'm saying is that initially it's high sexual chemistry I meant not just hor.NY but for a particular person. Sometimes the connection is bad in the bedroom and they don't do that again. But the odd time the sexual chemistry meet with mutual sexual attraction then....pop goes the Dynamite
