About your question for the day, i have always thought about that. Your question is a true test one ones love for the father. I think we are mostly driven by the fear of going to hell than the promise of a paradise called heaven.

It's just like our basic country laws or very simply the traffic laws. The penalty for breaking the law is a better motivation than the sermon of saving your own life and not endangering someone else's life.

A world where love comes easily and naturally would be awesome. But if you mean every other thing remaining constant apart from heaven and hell, then this world would be total chaos. Survival of the fittest, we would leave no differently from wild animals.

Religion provides some form of sanity and a little bit of restraint even though there is lotta insanity around. Take religion out and we would have all been savages, living our lives by the 'cliche', Get rich or die trying.

Extremist hiding under the umbrella of religion are part of the insane lots and an exception to what most religions stand for.
