Can one become rich as a salary earner?Without other or additional means of income, and without corruption?

my employer once told me that one can't be rich by earning just salary. The best it can do is to make you live comfortably. You have to augment your income.

i looked up the real definition of RICH, and this is what i found:

"having wealth or great possessions; abundantly
supplied with resources, means, or funds; wealthy:"

the above clearly defines it all, you can only be rich when you have the ocean and not just a cup of water from the ocean.

if your boss is just a salary earner, he wouldn't be the owner of the organization where you earn a salary.
