It is no secret that with the fall of Gadaffi and his government resulted in the breakdown of law and order in the country and as a result, the gates to Libya's military arsenal were thrown wide open.

Some were looted and sold to whoever had the money to buy (mostly criminal groups and other non state actors) while others were simply supplied to armed/terrorist groups across the continent by their affiliates in Libya, a category under which Boko Haram falls.

Most of the heavy weapons, anti tanks and anti aircraft guns, have their origins from Libya. Had Gadaffi not fallen, the story would have been different.
