I am asking this question in order to put to rest the lies being peddled by some so called south southerners, that Aniomaland in present day Delta state once belonged to the Binis but was "grabbed" by the igbos. Any good student of history knows about the once great Bini empire and how they tried to expand to other territories in the southern Nigeria(including Lagos)through the help of the white man.

So, the question is, if the Bini empire was so powerful, how then did the igbos succeed in "grabbing" their supposed land up to igbanke? All evidence, including physical looks and linguistic points to the fact that inhabitants of Aniomaland, igbanke, and even Esanland were originally igbos, but were corrupted by the binis.

Bini people will finish them in a couple of seconds. Igbos are nowhere near the binis when it comes to fighting or jaguda. Believe me I've lived with them and I know how they are. They're the last people you want to have a problem with cos their problem with you will never end. Bini people are a no go area.

I am an anioma from delta state. I can realiably inform you that the Oba Of Bini had dominion and probably still has till today up to the ogbaru people of anambra state.

I have always acknowledged the hitherto greatness of the Bini empire. But, I seriously doubt that they could have lost their territories up to igbanke to the Igbo's.
